The gameplay's your standard RPG fare: Run around, kill enemies, find upgrades, beat bosses and just make your way to the end of the game. Nothing special, really.
The game's dungeons are well designed and have some smart puzzles, including some that make clever use of the game's isometric view. Battles are rather hard - The game wastes no time throwing the tough monsters at you, and you will practically encounter them right away, so save frequently and stock up on items!

Bonk 3

Platform gubbins

First off, pretty much everything from the previous two games returns. Bonk can bonk (Of course), bounce off walls, swing on trees, climb walls with his teeth, break blocks and more. There are bonus games at the end of a world, and each world ends with a boss. However, a few things have been tweaked slightly. First off, Bonk now walks and jumps a bit faster, which should help against complaints that the other two games moved too slow. Likewise, when picking up meat to become stronger, the animation seems faster. Second, at the end of a world, you can select which out of 8 bonus games you want to play. If you have collected 16 smileys you can then pay them in order to play that game. You can continue to play bonus games if you have enough smileys for two or more, in fact! There are more gameplay tweaks, but you'll have to find those yourself.
The game also introduces some new things. The first, and most important, is candy. Bonk can find blue candy in order to grow in size, and red candy to shrink in size. While being large does not have any true advantages (As you can still be hit) it is fun to walk around and try to crush everything with your enormous sprite (Which looks and moves very nicely, by the way), plus you can breathe fire! If you shrink, you will become one block high in height, which lets you squeeze into secret bonus areas or places you otherwise can't reach. If you eat red candy while small, you won't shrink further. The same goes for blue when big, you won't grow more. If you eat blue while small, you become normal size again, which also goes for red when big

Nani ?
Dont bother

The game features one player and two player modes. In the one player mode, the objective is to enter math answers in order to receive points. In the two player mode, each player applies a math operation (addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division) to the number they have to make it another number, trying to eventually reach a mutual goal number. However, signs and numbers are on the same field for each player, and they must race to reach the final number.
Adventure island (or Wonderboy for Sega fans)

Things aren't as simple as they are in Mario games though - Along the way you will find eggs. Breaking these will reveal a certain item. You might find an Axe or Fireballs (The only weapons in the game - You are unarmed when you start or after losing a life, so be sure to rearm yourself), a Fairy which grants you temporarily grants invincibility allowing you to run through enemies to destroy them, a skateboard, which lets you move at increased speed and take another hit (The drawback to this is that you cannot stop, only slow down) or an eggplant, which will cling onto you for a bit and drain vitality.
Adventure Island is known for it's difficulty - Master Higgins will die from exhaustion if he does not keep collecting pieces of fruit which hover in the air in stages. As such, it is wise to hurry up in every stage. Making contact with any enemy or obstacle will result in instant death unless you're on a skateboard, so watch out! There is only one exception - Many small rocks are scattered across the stages. If you trip on one of these, you will lose a small amount of vitality, but won't die.
