lets talk junk shall we?

lets see......as i eat a chewy peanut butter chocolate chip granola bar, ive been inspired to question what is everyones favorite unhealthy snack!!!!!

i like gushers, fried pork rinds *homer drool*, baked lays potato chips (original or sour cream), and i LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE beef jerky teryaki style <33

whats your poison?
I could write a song about this!

I eat healthy, for the most part, vegetables, drink water. I was a runner since I was 14, and I still keep up, for now.
doritos
oreos (double stuf)
chocolate covered raisins
buncha crunch
dunkaroos
marshmallows
s'mores
gushers
ritz chips
reeses pieces
sour patch kids
swedish fish
milk chocolate bars
jello shots (its the only way i eat jello...honestly, i dont know why)

and my most favoritest junk foods of all time are:
Reeses Peanut Butter Cups
and
Junior Mints
gummi anything
rasinettes
white chocolate chip chunks with macadamia nuts chookies
pb&j sammich
DQ's blizzard with heath bar chunks
popcorn
cinnamon rolls

i think that's it.
Oh my god, how can you people eat that stuff. Doesn't it weigh on your mind what it will do to your artieries?
no. cause i dont eat candy/junk often, and im usually healthy aside from those...

or rather...i dont eat much else.

and i drink a lot of water...

All I ever drink is water, unless I'm out, then it's iced tea. (No alchohol for me)

Ah, well that's good. I am a sap for butterfingers, though, god, I could eat a whole bag of them in one sitting.

Hint: Some of you may know it already, NEVER shop when hungry, and you'll come home with tons of healthy food.

Fast food I eat... junk food, not so much any more.

I used to eat TONS of junk food. Sugary sodas, honey buns, snickers, peanut buttercups, whatever. Once I got over 18 though, and stopped doing so much physical activity (from sports and such), it started to show and I threw on a little bit of weight. When i cut them out, I lost most of it.

I drink a lot of diet coke (I drank this even when I ate junk food, cause I like the taste), water, and some sweet tea (maybe 1/10th of the amount of how much I would usually drink growing up)

I do probably eat too much bread. I really enjoy bread. I used to eat fast food 2x a day at least, now maybe 3 times a week.

I do enjoy a meal that includes a desert, but I don't eat them often. High quality vanilla ice cream, over warm apple pie or a hot fudge cake is an excellent treat. Fresh baked cookies are a winner too.

I used to splurge, but I really do not anymore. I didn't cut everything out either, I just figured that moderation was key. I can have all of the same stuff I used to eat, but in very much smaller amounts of it. For instance, if I do eat a snickers bar nowadays, it's just one of those little bitty bite sized ones, and even that is a rare treat rather than a common thing.

It's very respectable, sc7, that you are so much about your health, but you are missing much of the joys of life with your strict regiment. Like I said before, abstinence is not the answer, moderation is key. What is the point of living long if you can't enjoy it?

BTW, this thread made me go dig the chocolate chip gelato out of the fridge. I have a small 8oz container and I've been working on it slowly for at least a month now, to give you an instance of how I minimize the damage that these junk foods can do Smile
Can't beat instant noodles, the classic food of choice for students. Oh yeah, and there's McCoy's crisps (best flavour: salt and vinegar).
junk food ftw for those with high motabolism.

Well, thanks. I do snack at the right times. Personally, I NEVER snack at home, because I only keep healthy stuff stocked. That said, when I'm out (about 2 times a week), I always have a desert, I guess you could call that moderation. But I've always used that great expression "What's the point of living if you can't enjoy it". That's what I say to people (namely parents), who think it's odd that I'm playing video games still (in my own house).

@brawny, I know sweedish fish, I used to love them ALL the way back in middle school, before I joined the track team!

Well...at least till I'm legal..and not in school.

Yeah i definately know that, i only go shopping after i have eaten lunch or supper, otherwise its pretty bad.

For the junkfood.....
diet mountain dew
my madre's baking(which i get everytime i go back home to visit Big Grin)
umm, cookies everyone once in a while,
and about once every 3 or 4 months a candy bar,

and i do think running is awesome as well, one of the best ways to relieve some stress...besides gaming of course, and what i have noticed is that the hardest thing with food is the moderation Toungue

It's not illegal if two minors engage in the activity, although if there's as little of one year difference, the courts may say otherwise. Still, the consent age in most states is 16, not 18, if that's what you're talking about. And, good for you, waiting till you're out of school, I did the same, no reason to screw up your life over one little mistake.
