Within the first few weeks here at my college, a campus chapter of Christ Ambassadors was holding a drawing for a splendid prize. (I'll keep what it was until the end, just to build tension
) They asked that for the members of their group that for each of their Wednesday sessions they bring a first-timer there for their entry to count. Meanwhile, any n00b can enter, as long as they haven't been to one of the Ambassador's sessions before.
Tuesday, I received a letter that I was in the running, and that I needed to be there to win should they draw my name. The odds were around 150:1 at the start, but could only get better.
I was having doubts about going, since given my luck, my name wouldn't come close. I decided to go anyway.
I arrived at the location to fill out the extra entry I was promised. After about 55 minutes of gospel, they draw the winner from a big bag of names. The paper is red, which means somebody who entered tonight won.
They say the name. However, it was a joke. The pastor used his name. (It actually took me around 8 seconds to realize he was kidding) He hands it to his assistant. Her mouth opens like the surprised smiley. I figured either she or her friend had won. She read the name.
It was mine.
I had received the gift that they were raffling. Right now I can't use it for it's intended purpose, but there is a way to work around it, so there is still hope.
Oh, right. I haven't told you what "it" is.
Well, if E.T. actually used accurate English, he would say:
"i need to Phone home."
Not a very hard riddle, guys/gals.
For those of you who still can't figure it out, just check the spoiler.

Long story short, I won an iPhone. 4 Gigabytes. Shazam.
