It's practically a rule for every Pokemon fan to love Pikachu, or it seems like they are a traitor to the franchise. Frankly I'm sick of it. I'm not saying that I hate Pikachu, I'm just tired of him. He may be the mascot of Pokemon, but why does he have to be worshipped? Nobody worships the Pillsburry Dough Boy?..Or do they?
The point of this thread is not to bash Pikachu (unless you want to). This thread is here to discuss whether your a die hard Pikachu fan, or are just plain sick of him. You decide.

Idk, I like him because he's the face of Pokemon, how it really started, but hate him for being so overrated. In fact, highly overrated. There are so many electric Pokemon out there that could beat him, yet the show portrays him as the strongest Pokemon ever, owning ground types with electric attacks. I'm tired of that. I wish the show and everything would actually follow the games. Sure, he's good and all, I'm not denying that, but there are many who could beat him.

I used to love Pikachu. But over the years he just become so over rated that I just began to dislike him. I prefer Raichu so much more and dont even get me started on how much I hate Pichu!

Yes but do you see pokemon being called Pikachu? No. Mario is the face of Mario games because the game is based completly around Mario. The same for sonic.
You cant really compare Pikachu to Mario.
