Well I had about an hour and a half playtime going today, and I hadn't saved at all then I died by falling in lava and there was literally no place for me to jump out, and it STARTED ME ALL OVER. What a waste of 90 freaking minutes... my tip to you: SAVE OFTEN!
yes, saving often is a wise choice. Of course, not dieing is an even better idea.

This isn't about Metroid but, I went 3 discs Straight of FFIX without saving, then Died at some special monster I thought I could beat. yea I was pissed.
I meant too say Discs lol
Lol well thats unlucky. It has happened with a few games with me. Sometimes im so frustrated I wont go back to the game for ages.
Try Shining force 3
Theres three parts us in the UK only got one part THE STORY NEEDS A END.
Heres one
Try going for the 3 hour thing is Resi with out saveing
Got to the bit where you go back into the mansion and one of them claw things poped up swiped off my head
(UNNNNNNNNNNT
Disgaea
During a all nighter I feel a sleep (this happens a lot theres also been a few times when I completed a map whille sleeping) woke up turned it off and went to bed.
Woke up a few hour latter started replaying thinking "didnt I do that"

That is exactly how I feel now, I am usually excited about playing it, now I could care less if I have it or not
. Hopefully i'll feel in the mood in a couple days or so
Yup it happens. Its just your frustration with the game lol.
It also happened a few times with Diamond and happened again today. I just think why bother doing all of that again. But a game like Metroid you should be in the mood to play it in no time.

While not exactly the same thing, I spent about 2 hours on the final Fire Emblem stage, one of my mains died, game over...... ARGHHH
I didn't play it for 3 months after. I picked it up, and beat the level in 45 mins.
Where were you when this happened? And why did you go so long without saving. Your Ice Missiles, if you have them are able to freeze lava for a little bit, seeing how you had no place to go that's what you should have done.
i hate when i dont save for a while because i think i dont need to, then i die. i dontpick the game up for about 3 days after that

LOL... first gamers complain about save points, now when you can pretty much save anywhere, you don't use it and complain about game overs. hahah
Same thing happened to me today with the fuel gel. Luckily I had just landed and therefore saved. And W_R, you mentioned the ice missiles, I tried but it wouldn't work. I guess it just doesn't work when you're already in the stuff.
Yea, I doubt it wouldn't work when you're in it. But when you shoot the top of th fuel gel to get a coal platform to pop up and you keep making those until you get to your destination. If it's the fuel gel rapidly coming from the ceiling you need to freeze the top, so it stops leaking.
I know that, just that I was in a hurry for no reason at all. Just wanted to get somewhere quickly so I figured I'd just go through the fuel gel, sacrificing a little health in the process. But the platform I was trying to reach was too high to jump to when I was in the fuel gel.
What are CDs
What did you just say?

No it was so retarded, I WAS shooting my ice missiles at the lava but they wouldn't freaking form an ice chunk! it made me so mad, then I saw a little morph ball hole at a wall, but it was filled with lava still so I went through that and popped back up and I was about to jump on a ledge in there with a missile expansion or something, but it was too late
and it was in the room with those 3 medium sized rock golems, and that one creature that always shot those little pink bugs that just fly into you and do 1 damage each (in Bryyo of course)
Sometimes im so frustrated I wont go back to the game for ages.
Yeah thats happened to me quite a few times, but for some reason when you finally start playing it again, you beat like if it were level 1 stage!
Well at least you've learnt an important Metroid lesson.
