I think that it is going to be an external HDD. With all of this WiiWare talk and all, it would make sense right? Because I doubt you would be able to download much with only 512mb of flash memory.

Galaxy already has a release date (11/12), and there is no need for a new DS, it is selling well as is, so a new one would be pointless.

The Wii can only support 480p though, or maybe I'm wrong? Besides, reggie said we would all be very happy with the suprise, but I don't think HD Wii would make many people happy. more like 'meh'

And Prinny, according to CVG the SMG date for EU is the 16th of November and Nintendo just announced it's November 1st for Japan. Manhunt 2 will be coming out here with an M rating but Id don't about anywhere else.

The Wii could support 1080p. It has component out. The only limitations are in the software/performance of the hardware. Sure, a software update could produce 1080p, it would just run at 5 FPS. Still, it wouldn't work on older games. Too much of a hassle to do at this point, IMHO.
I also didn't know there was a surprise. Kinda glad I didn't, that way I couldn't be let down when it arrived. It would be like "What? They've added (fill in what they add here). What a nice little surprise." Now that I know it will be more like "....that's the surprise.......meh." Kinda like how I felt about our last "surprise".
