Ok I just beat the game 100% on normal and I have a few complaints.
First, there was no power bomb. They should at least keep the old weapons before adding new ones. Same thing with the super-missile. It should have been there.
Next, what was the deal with the ship missile upgrades? They didn't seem to do anything.
Its minor, but the screw-attack wall jumping was WAY too simple. That was one of the most challenging things to master in Echoes.
I think we can all agree that the final boss was insanely easy. You scan, it tells you exactly what to do.
It was a huge let-down for me to not be able to fight Dark Samus as Metroid Prime. I mean c'mon, the game's called Metroid Prime, not Dark Samus: Corruption.
There was no multiplayer.
The game was great, but overall, it was too short. I think they wasted too much time on full voicing and not enough time on an in-depth story. I liked Prime 1 a lot more, although Corruption had amazing gameplay.
Anyone else have any complaints?
havent beat the game yet. so no complaints
I'm at the end now, so far no complaints here but yes I need get the power rocket, it'll only work hypermde.
I didn't use rockets that much. Hypermode was pretty powerful and much faster that landing the shot.
Powerbomb was missed.
Ship missiles could be used in rooms that had no ceiling and bad guys in it. I agree though, I never used them.
It wasn't just the last boss, it was the game. Normal was too easy. I think by veteran at the beginning, they meant "if you have ever played a Metroid Prime game before, use this one". I am looking forward to beating the game in hypermode whenever I get free time. I'm pretty sure there will be more strategy involved with harder modes.

Really? I never knew that, so it can be used in ANY room with no ceiling? And does your ship have infinite missiles?

your ship starts out with 3 missles (i think) and then you can find ship missle expansions and they just give you more missles
Seriously if you think its to easy. Go do it again iun the hardest difficulty...
To easy of a game to start. Another thing was that I remember LMX or someone saying that Ridley was going to have a voice or something. Kinda disappointed on that part.
You can't give Ridley a voice, him just screeching is enough...Too many people would ***** if he had a voice...
I for one think Ridley should have been given a voice.
Lately Nintendo seems to be dumbing him down which is an outrage to Ridley fans. He is depicted as being able to speak intelligently, not just roar and screech like a cretin.
What makes you think Dark Samus can transform into Metroid Prime? Judging by the ending of MP1 all that was left of MP WAS Dark Samus. And that was thanks to the DNA inside the Phazon Suit. I don't know why people would expect Metroid Prime to return when there is a much more interesting villain in Dark Samus to explore.
And as for multiplayer... well I'm not even GOING to go there because that tired argument is no longer worth bringing up.
I liked Metroid Prime as a villain. At the end of Corruption when Dark Samus explodes, I think that Metroid Prime should have oozed out of the Phazon suit.
It would have made me happy...

I agree. He is supposingly not only able to speak intelligently, but is quite intelligent overall.
He co-ordinates a Space Pirate attack and leads it as well on Samus' home village. He is the sole survivor as well, eliminating everyone there (including Samus' parents) and nearly Samus, herself.
He isn't just a screeching dragon...

He's also a/the general of the Pirates, but enjoys fighting on the front lines. Why do you think they keep "rebuilding" him? If he was a brute and nothing more, they'd probably let him die off after getting beat up by Samus so many times. Considering the voice acting in this game compared to the rest, it would have been a perfect twist to have him speak.
For shame, Retro. For shame.
he hath shamed the name of Retro! rally nintendo fans! let us burn him like the witch he is! lol jk LMX
my only complaint was length. Metroid Prime took me like two months to beat. corruption only took me like a week and a half.
I'm hearing people taking about 15 hours or so to beat Corruption.
Which is decent.
I beat Metroid Prime on 100% in about 10 hours. So 15 hours roughly is good for me.
My only issue was that the left, top and right directional pad buttons had no use, unless there's some re-mapping you can do that I'm not aware of. Making the left button the map screen button would've been much better. I constantly use the map screen to figure out where I'm going and having to press the 1 button so often gets tiresome.

On the surface the Prime games never had much of a story. It was all discovered through the logbook scans and stuff so I'd say Corruption's story was on par with the others. And I doubt much time was spent on voice acting since the game didn't really have very much at all compared to almost any other game with voice.
Yeah, they didn't even give Ridley a voice!
