Well, I have to say that some of the Roller Coasters being made these days absolutely stun me. Well, I'll just get straight to the point; my mom doesn't like going on big coasters, and my dad can't because of physical limitations (at least for the time being), and I would rather ride with somebody I know. Needless to say, I was thrilled to go on my first big coaster yesterday when I took NYR77 to Sixflags (it was his first big one as well ). Here's 2 vids offride (Couldn't decide which was better), and one onride.
Off:
It was intense! And yes, you do ride it with your stomach facing down. So, what kinds of coasters do you guys like? (Tell me if it takes too long to load, then I'll change the vids into urls instead.)
i love roller coasters! i go on any/all that i can find, from kiddie ones (some of them arent as nice as they appear...i got my neck hurt on one of them) to the "most intense coaster around"
The Hulk in Universal Studios. although it's short, and not great, the initial fifteen seconds of it is exhilerating.
Shakra Kahn at Six Flags. you start out flat, at a huge speed, and get thrust straight up, then you're left to gravity and fall straight back down (backwards). again, short, but fun.
wooden rollercoasters are awesome. the Superman one you went on is fun. Twin Dragons is awesome. Space Mountain is good. Expedition Everest is ok...
i prefer coasters that go upside down, have very high accelerations/top speeds, backwards, etc. but i find all of them to be entertaining and good in one aspect or another.
i cant say that ive been so moved and in love with a roller coaster though. if i find one thats just a "take my breath away" ride that i cant get enough of, ill let you know.
my favorite coaster is the incredible hulk at universal studios islands of adventures :3 its only 30 mins away from me plus i got season passes, i also like the montu at busch gardens tampa bay
Of the places ive been to the best Coaster to Total Number Of Rides ratio is at Bush Gardens in tampa. Scorpion+ SheiKra+ Gwazi+ Kumba+ Montu = loads of fun.
The first coaster i ever went on, including kiddie coasters, was the Mamba at worlds of fun, i wasnt tall enough but the dude at the gate let me on anyway, and ive been a coaster junkie ever since. I also love to bungee jump and free fall
I was there! I'm a witness! We both had a blast. Superman Ultimate Flight is an awesome coaster. We both might go again for fright fest in October. Not for the corny scares, for the rides!!! Superman FTW!!!
Well, this thread is back from the dead, and with a vengeance. I've gone on numerous roller coasters since this thread was made, including:
-Batman The Ride
-Great American Scream Machine
-Medusa
-El Toro
-Nitro
And more, these are only a few. I've gone on every coaster in Six Flags Great Adventure (In Jackson, New Jersey). This includes...
Kingda Ka, the tallest (456 feet), fastest (128 miles per hour in 3.5 seconds) roller coaster on earth!
So, I've done one of the most daring things a coaster fan could do. What's your most daring roller coaster experience, and where was it? What's your favorite roller coaster? Be sure to include some pics or videos if you want us to see your experiences!
Kingda Ka was nothing -_- it was great and all, being shot up at the fastest speed, and then falling straight downward, but it wasn't worth the long arse wait. the best part of it was the beginning; after that, it was just like every other up-and-down terrible rollercoaster i've been on.
^Lol'd @.
How does everyone feel about the "Airtime" of coasters, when you are lifted from your seat and feel kind of like you're going to fall out? I personally like this, that's what made me love the wooden coaster El Toro so much.
I used to be a Season Pass member for Six Flags for so many years. I love coasters a lot. I really miss them. Over here there are only 2 or 3 amusement parks and I haven't been to any of them because I heard they were kinda lame. I was just talking to one of my friends about one today and we might plan to go to one of them next weekend. I hope they have something good.
