Just have a simple question. When trying to download demo's and trailers on my PS3, they take an INSANE amount of time. i.e. I was waiting a a few HOURS for a download of Heavenly Sword. I have a cable connection that I also use on my 360 and haven't had any issues with it nor my wi-fi on my Wii. Is the PS3 just slower to download? And I suppose the files are pretty big...but a few hours? Seems long. Anyone has issues like this?
that is way too long. i have a cable connection too and using wi-fi. downloads do take longer than on the 360, but not that long.
Any idea on what could be causing it?
could it be the signal strength of your wi-fi connection?
if your system and router are close to each other , try using the ethernet cable and see if youre still getting slow downloads.
i dont know what else to suggest.
I actually haven't been using the WiFi...just the hardline. I'm remodeling and am setting things up for wi-fi then but don't use it now except the slick USB one for the Wii.
I would shut down your modem, router, and PS3. Then turn the modem on, and wait till all the lights are active. Turn on the router, and wait till all the light that should be active are, and then plug in your PS3.
It's not very scientific, but I'm guessing your willing to try almost anything.
btw what kind of router are you using?
