TheFeed can't get enough of wacky, game-hating attorney Jack Thompson. The latest jack-a-nape from the Florida attorney: In a recent court filing, Thompson claims an article in Game Informer magazine reveals that a mission in GTA 4 involves killing an attorney. Thompson feels the attorney represents him.
TheFeed would give anything to be killed in Grand Theft Auto 4, but Thompson, apparently, doesn't like the idea, and has threatened to block the release of the game if "he" is not removed.
Oh man that is priceless.
even more laughs (continued):
He writes:
"You have until five o’clock P.M. this Friday… to inform me that you are going to delete the above references and any other references that could reasonably be construed to be references to me in Grand Theft Auto IV and any other video games that are pending release…
Now you have descended this low - using one of your games to threaten my physical safety… Failure to comply with the deadline… will result in my having to take necessary and proper means to stop release of the game which targets me personally… given the copycatting of violent games…"
lolololol

Ah I love Rockstar
sooooo basically GTA is going to shoot down some liberal nutjob attorney in the game and due to defrimation of character he feels its him?
i hate people
well, GTA also has a man in it, and you kil the man. OMG BASTURDS! IM SUE'IN
Of course it's supposed to be him!
Remember in GTA: San Andreas, on the radio there's this delirious attorney who calls up by the name of "Jack Johnson"
Rockstar will always attempt to attack him
so, wait does that mean i can sue the godfather black hand edition for shooting NYPD cops in little italy????
I WANT MY MONEY NOW BICH!
youve got to be kidding me. tell him to remove the g-string from his ass
Oh no, not Jack Thompson AGAIN! Doesn't he ever shut up about how "evil" video games are?
I just like how he says Rockstar is descending low now... does anyone remember the thread posted a couple weeks ago where he sends those childish emails to them? but ohh no, rockstar is the one with the low-blows
i really hope that this attorney doesnt look anything like jack, so that when he tries to sue or whatever the **** it is he does, he looks like a complete idiot. the character doesnt need to have jack's likeness for the knowledgeable gamer to know who that character is supposed to portray.
+rep to rockstar. lol

Don't associate us liberals with nutjobs like him. Someone like him who wants such strict regulations is known as "authoritarian". Authoritarianism can be seen quite often in the conservatives as well, just that the extreme borderline socialists who want large government control of the economy, also want such restrictions on people. However, I personally, as a registered Democrat, I still believe in a free, capitalist market, and the civil rights as granted by the US constitution.
I hope the attorney looks exactly like him so I can repeat the mission over and over. =D
I hope he just wont die in one mission, like a lot of fun missions where he says GTA: SA IS BAD etc..
i don't think he can sue just because somebody looks like him...
I hope hyou get to t-bag him when hes dead.
and yeah rooster he really can't, just like in south park they have that thing at the beginning that says something like 'all names and apparences are simply coincidental'
F-word

i would strongly question whether democrats, at least the vast majority of democrats, do truly care about the constitution. at the very least, few of them have read it. not that i worship the constitution as some do, but i do find it a fairly agreeable framework for a gov't. i would greatly enjoy if our gov't still used it as a framework. the democratic party supports:
-the federal reserve (the constitution gives only congress the power to print currency, not the collection of private banks known as the federal reserve)(we owe the fed. res. more than our estimated national worth in interest on the money they have printed)
-the federal income tax (which is unconstitutional for a slew of reasons... it was never ratified by 3/4 of the states, about a dozen supreme court rulings from the teens and twenties stated that it gave congress no new powers of taxation, several supreme court rulings have stated that our labor is our property (as defined by the constitution) and thus any money earned by our labor is not income (which is defined as profits on an investiture)) (interesting note: there is no actual federal statute requiring anyone to pay this... which is why tax evasion is almost always sought out in state courts rather than federal courts)
- gun control (while at least i can understand the supposed motives behind this, gun control does tread heavily on privacy rights and the second amendment and is rather ineffective at keeping guns out of dangerous people's hands. i don't mean to say that it totally overturns these rights guaranteed by the constitution, but it is akin to the way the current administration has 'free speech zones' where people can protest far away from the actual event rather than at the event.)
- non-defensive war (the constitution says we have an army only for common defense of the states... yet kennedy, lbj, and clinton have all supported non-defensive wars and the iraq war did have the majority of dems supporting it in it's early stages.)
also, the term liberal has a unique meaning in the united states. those who we call liberal in this country would not be considered liberal, in the technical sense, by a political scientist. traditionally, and still in most places outside of the US, it refers to ideas and people who support small gov't and expansive rights so that people may live their lives how they want to. so the constitution would be a very important example of a classic liberal document. most people in the united states who would be considered to have 'classic liberal' leanings would be identified today as traditional conservatives (haven't heard of many that still exist lately), libertarians or anarchists.
aww lets not turn this into a politic thread... those usually end up in flames

can...can the game be made so we can name everyone we meet? that would be a sweet addition to it, really. cause...i'd like to play the "Name and Maim That Lawyer" game ^^
doh.....
liberals are worse if not far more dangerous than democrats. no offense here but we all know im a republican. by "dangerous" i mean look at clinton! ugh!
i didnt intend to make a political rant but usually its the psycho liberals that open their mouths about video game violence. you never hear those words out of a republicans mouth...ever.
my intentions were to point out that hes a psycho and is dangerous to society with his stupidity and idioctic comments.
no more politics

How can Jack Thompson be a liberal? He's got to be one of the most conservative bible-bashers on the planet! American politics is confusing...
Its confusing because its usually the liberals are the ones complaining about everything, but this time we got a far right wing guy complaining.
and yes i realize im being hypocritical by making a political post

oops
