The final installment in the spy thriller trilogy will be available on DVD and HD DVD December 11. Though specific details were not announced, it is expected that Universal will include multiple bonus features as exclusives to the HD DVD version.
The Bourne Supremacy was #8 on Amazon.com's list of top-selling HD DVD titles for 2006.
The list price for The Bourne Ultimatum has been set at around $40, making it one of the most expensive single-disc HD DVD movies to date. It will be a combo disc, meaning the flip side will carry the standard DVD version of the movie, which is likely the biggest component of the high price.
A collector's edition box set will also come out on December 11, containing the entire Bourne trilogy. Universal has not yet set a price on the set, nor has it announced if there will be exclusive supplemental content.
