it happened on monday, so some of you have probably seen it but for those who havent, here you go Really Happy

i think its funny how much of a wuss he acts when hes getting 'tased' (by his bro apparently) Big Grin
Yeah, guy was an idiot and deserved it.
why were they going after him?
alot of reasons, firstly he was only up there to try to make himself look funny, he wasn't serious about his questions. Also, he was asked to leave after it was obvious he was just there to act like an idiot, but he didn't so the cops went to escort him out, and he was resisting arrest so the cops bzzzzp'd him lol.

"IMA CHARGIN' MAH TASERS!"
I watched it on HardBall with Chris Mathews and then from several different other angles and I've come to this conclusion. This guys and asshole and deserved it.

He cut infront of everyone who'd been waiting to ask questions. He was a total jerk while asking questions, and then when asked to let others get their chance he threw a temper tantrum. If you look how he was trying to shake off the college security people and at times seeming to get away from them you can see why they finally razzed him.

I mean if a cop stops you and you start acting like he did, well, you'd be tazzed pretty quick, or if you live in L.A. you'd probably be shot.
Kerry was going to answer his questions...if you listen to one of the clips, that's what he said. the questions were legitimate questions, no matter how terrible they sound. im not too sure that the cops were willing to let the questions be answered, though, cause they ignored Kerry, and just focused on getting him out instead of letting him hear the answers to his questions.

however, the cop did warn that he'd be tasered if he didn't cooperate. so on the account that he didn't stop fussing, ok, sure, he deserved the taser. he was given a warning, and it wasn't heeded.

but there's nothing saying he cant ask questions like he did.
I agree with what LZ is saying, but I think the guy had already asked several questions and was just being a jerk. Your right Kerry was being decent about the whole situation. Remember this is the same guy who stood on the street corner with a sign telling people the Harry Potter book 7 ending so that they wouldn't buy the book Smile

local tv station Wrote:
An officer, however, said in the police report that Meyer's "demeanor completely changed once the cameras were not in sight" and that he was "laughing" and "lighthearted" on the way to jail.

POLICE BRUTALITY!!!

heres a lesson in proper protocal

when arresting or apprehending a noncooperative suspect (detaining) we are required to do actions that follow such as- taser or stun gun depending on what is issued by what department, mace, cuffs, or a combination of all if the suspect in question is hard to detain.

we are required to announce what actions are are taking once in police custody. usually one warning is enough. if they choose not to comply with our terms of detainment, we are required to take action.

as seen by the video the young adult was calm and collective but read his question which might have not been appropriate (i fail to understand what this was all about though what exactly happend?- why was his question such a big deal?) and the school or auditorium had turned off his mic and he caused a scene.

the officers were there because he was causing a public disturbance which is a petty crime.

quite frankly, the cops did their job by tasing him.
My guess is this...it's already been reported that there was a line of students to ask Mr Kerry questions. It's been reported that this guy came in and cut in front of everyone else (I know it's childish, but he did it), and I'm guessing one of the students probably complained.

If the above is what happened (and could very well be the case) then this had nothing to do with the question/s being asked. Mr Kerry was going to answer the young man's questions so there wasn't anything off key about them except maybe the way he was asking them.

The guy got what he wanted....he was pulling a prank, he got 50,000 volts which hopefully fried some sperm so he won't be as likely to have offspring. If he does have kids someday, then hopefully they'll ask dad why he acted like such a dumbass.
I still dont know on this one. I still dont see why all those Police couldnt get the handcuffs on him without tasering him first. Arent they only suppose to be used if the criminal is using physical force against them?

yes and no

he was fwaling his arms around but there were 3 cops there. when cameras are around we dont want to be using force. its bad PR. you know it and i know it that if they had tackled this kid, it would of caused extreme mayham even if it is what needed to be done

the taser was the next best thing to get him to calm down since he wasnt listening. once he was contained, he was slaped with cuffs.

someone of his size and weight/height would be in a little bit of a "taser induced coma" lol IE drooling until his body stops being numb. i hope they got him on the side of the body- that hurts the most!

In my opinion, people in this world are getting way too soft.  Even if the police didn't need to taser him (which i personally think they did), who cares.  People are treating it like tasering him is the beginning of the armegeddon... what happened to the good old days of when you would do the smallest crime and get stoned for it... Sad

Also, I love how on Fox news on the O'Reilly factor, they have this exact same title for the incident ("Don't tase me, bro!") lol.

welcome to the PC world where we're all about human rights no matter what the hell they do.

you know someone can KILL a person in the streets and if we detain him in any which way by laying no more than a damn finger we're under the microscope moreso than the perp is who killed an innocent man

i am not kidding you children! this is the world you are entering.

the 60's are over and we lost so just get with the program ok? i dont know why am even in the profession i am in TBH. its nothing like it was and we're always in the news

im sorry but if i was to be the cop there on call at the scene, hed be beaten to a bloody pulp becuase hes a punk kid.

im sick of having to think 2x about actions. it should NEVER have to come down to that.....EVER

ithink thats why cops have nervious thoughts about shooting as well but thats another days story........its so sad it really is

you disturb the peace, we're gunna disturb your testicals with a volt to the ballsack! Sulk

and now i get to go to work angry! YAY!!!

Yeah i agree, the bad stuff that some cops do gets so much more publicity than the good, even though the good they do heavily outweighs the bad. Pretty much the medias fault though
Creator of thread could have at least put a title of what the video was about. The guy does act like a victim, obviously on purpose..I wonder who the woman defending the guy being tased is..probably an animal activist.
FYI, he went on talking for a while before ever getting a question out. He was horribly rude, and sure, Kerry was going to answer his question, but that's only because he really could do nothing else.
Guess he won't be laughing so much when he has to pay a hefty fine for his attention-getting scene! Bet he just wanted it to hit YouTube so he could admire himself acting like a total jerk!
I don't think that's funny at all to be honest. John Kerry is an asshole and this guy was just exposing that. Mr. Kerry used his surname as a false reason to claim that he was Irish (to appeal to all the Irish-emigrant Americans) when in fact it was only his great great grandmother or something that was. I found him arrogant and cocky. Maybe this guy was being a bit stupid, but he was asking questions, that's all.
But the thing is, he really didn't care about getting an answer for his questions. this guy has a website where he posts all these little pranks he does, for example one of them was he spoiled the harry potter book 7 ending to a bunch of harry potter fans. So I personally think the guy had it coming and deserved it, i don't really feel sorry for him any bit

You might not like John Kerry for whatever reason, but you can't justify what the guy did by saying...John Kerry is a dick or John Kerry is an ass. People make choices and this guy royally screwed up.
