i don't know much about Saint's Row, but i am getting tired of GTA. i might turn it on and kill some people or mess up some hookers, but i don't feel compelled to do many missions.
i doubt it, but im sure it will make rockstar get off their lazy asses.
...Saints Row is a next-generation game in the full sense. Despite its drab art style, graphically, it's a good looking game. Saints Row has come a long way since its early outings as a contender in the launch lineup. The environments are fully fleshed out with dozens upon dozens of neighborhoods, each one offering distinct texture maps, ornamented by graffiti and bump and normal maps. The game packs an enormous amount of geometry, uses high dynamic range lighting makes full use of Xbox 360's shader technology, which gives everything a high-definition edge. Visually, you may not agree with the art design, but then again, not everyone liked the art design of GTA, however distinctive it was.

Yes Saint Row will kill GTA, no doubt, that is until GTA4.
Saint Row is freeform GTA, and also has online multiplayer.
I mean it beats the current GTA titles in every aspect; including creating your own gang with it's members following you around while you blindly mug everyone on your block.
It looks good but when GTA4 comes out sporting it's new RAGE graphics engine, people will definately be jumping on that. I just wish GTA4 would have Multi Theft Auto capabilities.
I think this game will make Rockstar stand up and take notice. The video game industry isn't know for being original by any means, but when a huge franchise like GTA becomes threatened or even the possibility of that happenning, Rockstar will take notice and hopefully do something amazing.

I love the GTA franchise and Saints row will be good if it was a multi platformer or something if it came out for other systems thats what sucks about it.

Saint's Row will sell but unfortuneatley for us all I don't think it will be able to take GTA4 and its rabid fanboys.
