Play Perfect Dark on the N64. THAT is a spectacular console FPS. Halo will be put in perspective by doing so, I promise.
PD is old, man. i used to play that a lot, but going back to play it(before the release of PD0), it doesnt age well.

i partially agree. i just wouldnt trade in a DS for any game.
have you played halo 2? its single player campaign is in all honesty... filler. the multiplayer portion is where this game just truly shines. i dont think ive ever seen so many different customization options for a game that you can literally end up making your own gametype. the community for this game is so huge, that when someone creates a gametype that becomes popular, it will be added into the playlist for the rest of the world to enjoy. excluding PC gaming, i've never seen anything come close. their website tracks every online match youve played. have you seen it? it literally tells who you killed, where in the map, with what weapon, and at what distance and angle. it also tells you who killed you along with all that info.
if youre basing the halo series on its singleplayer alone, then youre really basing it off 1/3 of a game.
Maybe when Metroid gets a better multiplayer and Halo gets a better single player, we can compare them. Now, though, its like saying, "Which food is better? A chair or a dictionary?"

I've always liked the halo series. I personally loved 2 over 1, and I'm sure 3 is going to be amazing also. Halo is something special. It's fun to play and I personally think the story is interesting.
People will always find reasons to bash the game, simply because it was one of the Xbox's bread and butter games, and it will probably work the same magic on the 360. Get over yourselves people. Give credit where it'd due. If you don't like the game, then don't buy it, but don't tell people that they have to write you an essay as to why they like it or their just sheep or something following the crowd.

youre assuming metroid has a better single player. i played MP1 and to be honest, maybe the story was fantastic, but i wouldnt know since the controls were effin' terrible.
I like all games
, although i don't have a 360 yet i will probably pick up halo 3 along with it, but i also love my metroid. You just gotta enjoy the games for what they are and judge them for yourself. Just use the reviews to kinda get a feel for what the game would be like and if you still wanna try it but are still iffy, then just rent it before buying it.

Your right lemon we are living in the real world, that's why people who don't like a game shouldn't think it's appropriate for someone else to give a detailed description as to why they like something. If we were writing reviews for 1up or IGN.com then that would make sense. Otherwise it's petty.

Because halo combat evovled was released back in 2001, and back then, it was much better than other FPS at the time, and it had a great online set up. Now alot of other games came along and had ok gameplay and good online setup, but the fact that Halo was unbeatable at the time it was released, it just created a huge fanbase that continued onto Halo 2, and now Halo 3
I traded it because Iwas going to get the Crimson/Black one anyways
it was worth it IMO.
man, everyone in my friends list is playing this frickin game! not only that, but these a-holes keep sending me party invites! (most of them know that im not gonna get halo3 until i finish bioshock, so theyre just rubbing it in.)
