it doesnt work but i dont want to throw it away...anyone know how much to fix and where to go that is legitimate...
Buy a new one, probably cheaper than repairing it.
'probably' not what im looking for, has anyone had an ipod repaired?
Yes I have, but it was in warranty.
What's cracked, the screen or the entire case?
the screen, but i cant see sh*t
Is there a customer support thing to call maybe? How old is it? Do you have the original receipt?

I can't help but saying don't buy an I-pood in the first place... lol

Google around, I forget where, but I replaced a screen on my first gen nano, completely works like new.

Call customer service...
Thats what i would do...

And if you can't salvage it, then just bye a used one off ebay! Thats what my dad did for my sis
Or go to your local Computer Exchange or CEX Wink. I buy all my second hand goods from there, except iPods, I always buy iPods new because im not a cheapskate Smile

no receipt it was a gift,

i'll check apple site

Good luck lol
If you feel like trying your luck on repairing it yourself i would suggest google Smile
This place has replacement parts for bunches of stuff:

http://www.cnn.cn/shop/

if it's a third gen, i didn't see a screen for it yet.
yeah i was going to say the same thing as z6- i know there are sites with replacement parts but you have to be kinda tech savvy or know/trust someone who is who will put the screen in for you and do it right.

if thats something youre capable of doing (i dont know how good you are thats all im saying- not saying youre a dingbat lol) id give it a shot. if not, you may be forced to buy a new one unfortunitly
Most of the time, getting a new one is cheaper in the long term.

Stop trolling, you've made your point.

I actually don't get how that is trolling, im trying to save the guy money. If he wants to waste his money then fine, I won't express my opinions then.

The fact that you said it, and everyone saw your point, and you keep repeating it. Your input is most certainly wanted, but don't keep reposting and flaunting your opinion, you said something, great, but when others are interested in something, keep the discussion to that.

Mehness, seemed like people ignored me. I just wanted my point across
