because rather than revive an old and dead thread, a new one is preferred.
Sorry guys, old threads equal long outdated posts that no one wants to read through. If a thread is outdated, it is better to start a new thread than bump it back to the top.
And really, who really cares if you posted something in the past and someone is reposting it now? Big deal. The older a forum gets, the more reposting you will have. It is necessary and unavoidable. That doesn't mean make the same topics each week, but you will have some of the same ones come around from time to time. It's not like we are soooo trafficy that a couple of reposts PER DAY would cause that much to "sift" through.
