Hitman is officially rated-R.
That is just another reassuring thing about it.
So...i'm willing to bet this is gonna beat out every VG/Film adaptation so far.
Thoughts?
and please...none of this "It's gonna flop" jabber...heard all too many times.
I want thoughts on the film itself.
I saw the trailer for it and I loved it. I really hope they do this movie right but looking good so far.
if only they can get the guy from the transporter (jason stocholm) to play "number 47" (he was 47 right??????)

drool.....

anyways, i loved the video games....this movie does look awefully promising. id see it
I like Jason Statham but he is so not Agent 47...he could'nt do it.
I'm sorry.
Just like Vin Diesel (who was originally attached to play 47) would suck superior monkey balls as 47.
What's sad is people don't realize that.
I'm glad to see you do though Loose Cannon.
He is. He'd do a better job than this current guy. At least I think so. Oh well, I'll wait a bit longer to decide on whether or not to see this film. It could still suck ass.
I see your point Lemon.
And you are intitled to your opinion.
But if Statham was 47...don't you think the film would be a Transporter 3?
He would have to do some martial arts....and 47 does'nt do that.
and
If Vin Diesel was 47 this would be a PG-13 special effects, one-liner extravaganza.
Tim Olyphant is a good actor (watch Deadwood) and the director has said in interviews that he is trying his hardest to make this film not suck.
He is a fan of the games.
All i'm saying is...this is gonna be better than most...if not all of the video game films so far.
Timmy Olyphant is a badass. i really like his character in deadwood (one of my favorite series). should be interesting to see how he pulls this one off. im still a little weary of it because game-to-film movies are never great. i did like RE and silent hill though.
I still think he is to young and small and not as cool looking as 47. I am sure he will do the role really good, from the looks of things it is a early look at the life of hitman. Which would do the actor justice as he looks like a younger 47.
He does look younger...but he is like 38-39 years old.
Anyway...this film to me looks like a gem.
I'll wait a bit longer til I judge.
Rumor: Hitman movie watered down for PG-13

According to website Twitch, Fox Studios pulled the director of the Hitman movie off the project in post-production and will re-edit the film to receive a PG-13 rating. There is no official word yet that this is true, but the story goes director Xavier Gens was yanked off the project because the film he submitted to executives would have guaranteed an R rating. Apparently post-production of the film has now been handed over to Nicolas DeToth, the man who edited the hell out of Live Free or Die Hard to receive a PG-13 rating. Essentially they are turning a hyper-violent (mature?) movie and watering it down for the kids -- if true, there's something wrong in that, on so many levels.

Our friends over at Cinematical put it this way: "See, here's how I know Hollywood is a lunatic bin: Whomever hired Mr. Gens for this job had to know two things: 1) The director's first film -- Frontiere(s) -- is so amazingly and powerfully violent that it almost becomes parody. 2) The video game? You know, the one that this new Hitman movie is BASED ON? It's a pretty damn violent game. Like, really violent." Not only is it violent our Cinematical friends, but the games are all rated Mature, the video game industry's version of an R rating. Oh well, guess we'll just skip the movie in the theater and wait for the unrated version on DVD.

That's just a rumor.
Ign.com said that is false.
They said, DeToth was brought in as a consultant and Gens is still ahead of things.
According also to Tim Olyphant and Gens, if the film was watered down it would be REALLY short.
It isn't just violent, there is plenty of swearing, nudity and implied rape.
Read the script.
But none of us know for sure...best to just wait and see.
I still can't get over the baby-faced actor. It's like he should be smiling and handing children icecream cones instead of hot lead!
The official site has been totally re-vamped.
Including 2 all new TV spots and stills.
Hey.
They showed an exclusive clip to the film, last night on L.A. Ink.
It was during one of the commercial breaks.
I am skeptical about this one guys.
The trailer isn't really exciting at all.huh?
you know? it dawned on me while i was watching the commerical for the movie- i think its just going to be a really sh*tty version of the boondock saints.

anyone else see this? i just noticed it as i was watching a trailer for it during the patriots vs colts game (those assh*les won! stupid f-ing patriots! they are just that friggen good its disgusting)

its the whole exiled church thing i suppose with guns and silencers. meh, if i wanted to free shoot, id go to the range and tatoo a barcode on the back of my head lmao

the more i see commericals, the less "hyped" i am about seeing it.....straight to video/download
The Script is'nt so much like that.

The marketer's (sp?) are just trying to make it appeal to a broader audience.

Trust me...take it from Boondock Saint...Hitman will be nothing like The Boondock Saints.

This film might suck...but than again maybe not.
I've just always said that it shows more promise than most other game/film flicks.

I mean come on...can't be as bad as Resident Evil or anything our ol' pal Uwe has directed.

Just sayin'
Jessica Alba could hide her barcode with her hair , how does the hitman hide his barcode? He doesn't seem to wear a cap or anything.

Nowadays we do have invisible ink that is legible like the bank notes and we use it on cows. Di they use the ame process or does he wonders around and nobody notices the barcode? huh?
Was that ever an issue in the game?

No.

I think people are trying so hard to find fault in this film.

The movie is based on a very far-fetched video game.
I don't care about his tattoo...it's his signature.

Would you have perferred him to not have the tatt at all?
or
Given him a full head of hair?
