This is a karaoke game with a difference!
Boogie is a fantastic, new sing-a-long, dance-a-long game for the Nintendo wii. For the singing part of the game it is typical of the usual karaoke. Words appear on the screen for you to follow and sing BUT you earn points for singing into the microphone, if you are in tune and in time with the music. These points can be converted into ‘money’ with which you can then ‘buy’ songs, clothes and different stages to perform on.
For the dancing part of the game you use the wii remote and nunchuck to perform different moves and to move you character about on stage. Points are also earned by dancing in time with the music. As well as this, there is also a story mode with which you have to sing and dance and achieve a high score to move on to the next stage of the story. When you have finished the stories you will be rewarded with clothes and brand new songs which you are not able to buy with ‘money’ from the usual part of the game.
Suitable for children and adults. Can be played alone but the more people the more fun! Only down-side I can think of is that the songs are quite old-fashioned and there are only a few modern ones. (Although my mum and dad think the songs are fantastic because they are from their era.)
This is a brilliant game for parties and definitely deserves a 10/10!!!

descend review...
next time try elaborating on some things isted of just saying "it was amazing!"
Meh. Bad game unless you love singing.
IMO i didnt think boogie was that spectacular. its a good "tool" if anything for those who arent familiar with the wii sensor remote. as long as you can follow rythem with the "metronome" that ticks in the wiimote, then youre good to go.

its good for kids especially or those who have parties over for the karaoke feature. this is not a game you play by yourself unless youre doing story mode- since thats one player

its deffinitly good for a hands on experience for (like i said above) motion.

the graphics are decent....dont expect world class here! its nicely done with cute characters that you can costomize and dress

i bought it strictly for the karaoke since i like the songs. the dancing is cool and my bf and i mess around on that from time to time.

if you have friends over alot and are looking for something that EVERYONE can play with little or no "gaming experience" then this is the game for you. if youre an avid gamer picking it up for yourself- you may be sorely dissappointed unless you are really into these sort of games.

is it worth 59.99$? compared to my recent DDR purchase (at $69.99), id say yes since most games are 49.99$ and this comes with a USB microphone which i assume will come in handy eventually down the line for future games.
, well. i heard this so called games 'boogie' sucked monkeys. KACHEEING
Try to include a bit more detail in your review, as well as some pictures. Other than that, I liked the review, especially how you pointed out age groups. Keep up the good reviews.
Welcome to WiiLoaded by the way! Smile
I bought this game when it came out, and what a waste of £40 that was.
i am sure for a 12 year old it would be a much better game, jeez you guys are tough

i think your review was fine jessica, welcome to wiiloaded

Her review was fine for her first try, nobody is insulting her drew. They are just giving her advice for when she writes her next review.

i never said anyone was insulting her nata...read my post again Smile just supporting her opinion on the game thats all

While I'm sure that some people appreciate critiques of their review, some of the comments did seem a bit harsh! That's certainly no way to encourage members to write more reviews.

Welcome to WiiLoaded, Jessica! I certainly appreciate your review and have been looking at this game for some time now, just to see how it is. It is nice to know that the songs are a bit older, as I'd be more likely to enjoy it then. Do you have any specific examples of popular songs on the game?

(just noticed that this post is a little outdated, but I'm leaving my post in hopes that our current members will take it into consideration. It does appear that she was scared away by the negativism)
my point exactly joker

...that or she was a stealth marketer Smile

I considered that, but if she was, she was the worst ever. (ev4r?)

for most newbies (and some staff) its usually just post after post of 'agreed' 'no way', 'that pwns', 'that sux' etc. before they post anything worthwhile

i just cant imagine my first post being a review...but maybe she wanted to get her opinion out there
