Industry analysts at Screen Digest seem to think so. This holiday season there will be 86 Wii titles, about 22 exclusives, 47 360 titles, 8 exclusives, 38 PS3 titles, with 5 exclusives. Since Wii is so easy to develop it's no surprise all these games are coming out. On November 13th alone there will be 20 Wii titles releasing.
Sure not all these titles will be great but it widens Wii's library of games and there are a handful of games worth checking out in there. The online library is even expanding, with around 15 titles for the rest of the year. Developers are getting interested and starting to take Wii seriously.

22 exclusives... holy crap!
It's not adding up...
86-22=64
47-8=39
33-5=28
.....unless they count games for wii/DS as non-exclusives.....
What's not adding up, those number came from them except the 22. They said a quarter of the Wii games are exclusives and that would be 21.5 out of the 86. If they were talking as a whole, it's misleading.
Let's just hope their quality games and not some of the crap we've become so accustomed to while we wait for good 1st party games.
No...non-exclusive means multi-platform.... so either they include PC/handhelds in those numbers, or it's off....since those numbers should all be the same.
Usually if a game it's on one console only, it's consider exclusive even if there is handheld or PC version.

Note worthy titles for this moth would be BWii, Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution (seriously), & Zack & Wiki. Next month there will be Trauma Center: New Blood, MoH: Heroes 2, RE:UC, DBZ: BT3, SoulCalibur Legends, Rayman Raving Rabbids 2 ( very improved from the 1st), and of course SMG to name a few.

Precisely....as subtracting the exclusives from the total should give the number of multi-platform titles....which don't equal out... I don't know how exact those numbers are though...
I gotta do physics anyways
.
Well there are some game that are coming out only for Wii/PS2 i.e. Manhunt 2, DBZ:BT3 etc...
Hm.....so are those numbers this gen only? or no?
I guess if no...then it would kinda make up for it...but it doesn't explain the 360/ps3 disparity.
Forget the math, I'm still trying to wrap my head around these alleged 80+ unannounced titles for Q1 08.
How is that going to happen??
Those 86 Wii titles are for this holiday season, by Q1 of next year Wii games will have outnumbered 360 & PS3 games.
that's like love from your creepy uncle who keeps moving his hand up your leg

Well there are some game that are coming out only for Wii/PS2 i.e. Manhunt 2, DBZ:BT3 etc...
mmm, cant wait to play manhunt 2 on my ps3!
So how many of these Wii games will actually be good? Oh... about 1% of them you say. Awesome...
well, at least 2 of the games coming out in Q1 of 08 will be good:
Mario kart
and maybe brawl
I think this is really a double-edged sword for any system. If the exclusives are good then it obviously looks great for that system, but if the majority of the exclusives (3rd party games) are Carnivale Games 2,3,4, and 5ish then it's a real kick in the balls to gamers.
Most companies will release the best games on as many systems as they can/afford to so that they can make much more cash.
Not really the case. PS2 had some decent first party titles and a crapload of dodgy third party titles. It was still a great console.
The problem here is, the Wii developers are being lazy.
