I don't need to play it to know.

But easily the best game on the Wii at the moment is:

METROID PRIME 3.

Nothing out there touches it. Not even Twilight Princess.

I have to agree...even though I haven't played MP3...it wouldn't be hard for it to be better than Twilight Princess.

Twilight Princess is better than Metroid Prime 3. Hands down. Metroid Prime 3 is very good but honestly it is at best 4th or 5th in line for game of the year when it should be a top contender. I wouldn't say I was disappointed but when it was over it was just like, "Ok that was good." The wow factor is long gone from this series. IMO anyway.

Mario Freaking Galaxy.
Interesting point Glue Gun. Because that's how I was with Twilight Princess. And I was disappointed with that game. Sure, it was fun for awhile and I honestly had prepared myself for a lengthier experience... but it simply didn't deliver. It was a Gamecube game with tacked on Wiimote controls. Now there is nothing wrong with that, its just that it can't compete with a game that has been built ground up for the Wii, like Metroid Prime 3.

And the wow factor being gone from it? Get real. The first Metroid Prime game beats Twilight Princess. The only let down (and it was only because it didn't try hard enough to be different) has been Prime 2: Echoes. Otherwise the Metroid series is very much alive. And at least more challenging than Zelda.

Lets obvserve.

Wind Waker = Good game, but too short and too easy.
Twilight Princess = Good game again, somewhat longer but even easier than WW
Phantom Hourglass = Also seems like a good game (haven't got it yet) but apparently is even easier again.

Personally, the challenge of Zelda is dying. I don't see why they have to dumb it doubt. It hasn't had a real stand out title since Ocarina. Of course, any game compared to Ocarina (besides Super Metroid) just looks bad... because Ocarina is just THAT good, lol.
I agree Twilight Princess was also a little bit that way, because the novelty of Zelda has worn out a bit since it went 3D with the repitition from game to game. Prime 3 is an even worse offender here, there is very little that has changed since the first one. Yes, the controls are very good (mostly), but once you get over that its the same old Metroid. Which means its still an excellent game, but like I said, the "wow" factor is gone. Something radical needs to be done for the next installment. Ditto for Zelda.

I can tell our disagreement stems from the fact that I like the Zelda series better than the Metroid series, and you like Metroid better than Zelda, and we won't change each other's minds. Truth is they're both excellent. I probably got the same enjoyment from the gameplay in MP3 as TP, but Zelda lasted 30 hours longer, that's why I think it is better.

Oh and I hate to disappoint you but MP3 isn't particularly challenging. Easiest game of the series. Which I agree is a disappointment in Nintendo games. If they are going to continue making games for the hardcore, then make them hardcore!
Oh I just really hope Corruption isn't a let down like TP...
I am going in prepared for ease. Nintendo can't make challenging games anymore.
