I just bought NFL 08, and have been looking at its reviews. I am getting worried that i wont like it so i might switch it for another.

What game do you think is the best so far? i have NFS, Zelda, Tiger Woods

I am not really a hardcore gamer so im ruling out MP3, and the Godfather, Call of Duty, Red Steel, etc.

"not a hardcore gamer?" hmm... Don't believe the hype--the "casual" games tend to blow. If you aren't too hardcore but want a solid title, Mario Strikers Charged is one of my most played games right now as the online offers lots of replayability. I would be considered by most a "hardcore" gamer, but this game is pretty good for both audiences--not too complex on the surface, but there is room for the hardcore gamer to also delve into the complexities of the game. basically, good to pick up and play, great to keep playing and develop strategies.


...I think you're shortchanging yourself, though, if you have a Wii and don't get MP3...

I don't need to play it to know.

But easily the best game on the Wii at the moment is:

METROID PRIME 3.

Nothing out there touches it. Not even Twilight Princess.

I'd check out reviews before buying your games f5awp. That's not to sound like a jerk, but at least you'll get an idea of what people are saying before putting down $49.99.

As Lemon said, MP3 is the best game out for the Wii, but in a month or so Super Mario Galaxy will be coming out, so if you could wait for that, I'm sure it would be worth your cash.

Due to my Metroid fanboy-ness. I will enjoy MP3 more than SMG. But both will be needed to complete my collection of good Wii games.

Twilight Princess is still my favorite. Although I definitely want to check out Metroid Prime

i do not consider sport games hardcore..i mostly play sport games.

i just dont like the alien shooter adventure games too much, 007 and like stuff like that i like but... yea

NFL got a 8.5 on IGN and 8 on gamespot..which is i guess pretty high for a wii game, MP3 got like a 9.5 and a 9.

i was gonna get Fifa 08 but i read the reviews and it got a 3 (thats sad)

i was also thinking about strikers i dont know if i would like it because its too cartoonish for me

overall, i like games with real people in them for sports, maybe except for tennis

im definetly gonna get brawl and galaxy no matter what

I don't consider myself a hardcore or casual gamer and I think MP3 is amazing. It's the one Wii game out now that pushes Wii's graphical capabilities and with near perfect controls.

yeah I agree with pretty much everyone else, twilight princess and metroid are the best so far.

On the 23rd you have Naruto: Clash of the Ninja Revolution i a fighter that's been getting good feedback and also on the 23rd is Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barboros' Treasure. That game is shaping up to be a sleeper hit. And on the 29th there us Battalion Wars 2 from Nintendo, with 3 online modes.

Have you considered Super Paper Mario?

Im going to have to go with Zelda and MP3 so far.

If you are not a hardcore gamer, avoid MP3.

I can't believe people are seriously recommending that to a guy who doesn't like the more advanced games.

I'm not a hardcore gamer. I spend about 4 hrs on the Wii a week (tops). I have found Metroid to be a tough game..certainly not as enjoyable as RE4 which I finished last.

It does look great though...that's for sure.

Everyone is recommending it because it is a great game, no matter what kind of gamer you are. And there are several difficulty levels for you to use. Like I said before I don't consider myself a hardcore gamer but I love MP3. So there is a chance he would like it too since i don't classify myself as such and I like it.

MP3 best game, RE4 best value.

Metroid is a game for hardcore gamers.....dudes who are familiar with off-rails gameplay, the disorienting sensation of FPS and who have the patience to scan new objects, read objectives etc etc....REGARDLESS of difficulty level.

By that standard, I don't even know if I'd qualify as someone who merely "plays" videogames.

From the sounds of it it's not a game for your girlfriend. It's a hardcore game but that's not the only people who buy it. You may be too impatient for MP3. The game doesn't require anything too extreme. Most objectives are said to you and reading them isn't like reading a book. You don't have to scan things. It's not mandatory. You don't have to be familiar with the type of game it is either. And if you needed help with the game it wouldn't hurt to post the problem in the Metroid section. Anyone would have been glad to help you.

I am a dedicated contributor of this site. I like spending my time here finding out info about upcoming Wii/Nintendo news. My name really means nothing. It's just expressing a statement while expressing an opinion.

I play videogames that present a challenge while still being challenge or is just plain fun. I don't want to play a game that presents no challenge or isn't even fun. Hell I don't even like FPS games, I'm not that good at them. My favorite genres are fighting and adventure. And you can't tell what kind of gamer person is by what games they play. I would think a person would know themselves more than anyone else.

I play about 4 hrs a week and the reason I would never use cheats or help forums is because I think it defeats the purpose of playing a game.

Does this strike you as the description of an impatient player?

I have to agree...even though I haven't played MP3...it wouldn't be hard for it to be better than Twilight Princess.
