Seems like it's time to put away our soccer balls and pick up the bats, because today Nintendo announced that they'll be making a Mario baseball game for the Wii! Anyone remember "Mario Superstar Baseball" on the GC and how if you wanted a home run you spoke to DK? Well, I guess we're in for round two and this time, we have a wiimote.
While much hasn't been said about this game, like the characters, controls, or even release date, there are quite a few bits you can speculate about. Will this game have multiplayer online? Will it use 1:1 motion sensing controls like Wii Sports: Baseball? Will it get cancelled like Nintendo Pennant Chase Baseball? Can Nintendo think of another sport Mario can dominate? I guess we won't know until more info is released but for now we have two other screenshots courtesy of IGN.
