Hi guys,

I've been noticing over the last few weeks that my YouTube videos have become incredibly slow to load. For example an average 3 minute video might take up to 7 minutes to stream fully, which is incredibly frustrating.

Now here's the thing. It's not got anything to do with my internet speed. My reason? My Wii connects to my router wirelessly, and gets a pretty less-than-average signal strength of 65-70% on an already less-than-average internet speed of 1Mbps and yet my Youtube videos stream about 5-6 times faster.

I've emptied and expanded my cache, but I haven't deleted my cookies. I'm waiting until I get a rational reason to delete them, because once I delte my cookies, all my saved passwords will be gone (I'm lazy)

Thanks guys
Im sorry i wish i could help but i havent had that problem. Did you try searching for anything that might help on Google?

Bounty Hunter Post!!!
I haven't noticed any issues with Youtube lately. The site seems to be running as usual for me.
it's your internet -_-
Nope. The Wii thing again. Also it used to be fast
I kinda have had this problem for like a day but then it back up to speed. You tried just restarting your computer right?
Youtube's whole setup is god awful, I know they're doing some changes to their site, so who knows. Some load slowly, some load fast. Remember, if you have two files, Rickroll.mpg at 10 Mb, and Rickroll.mp4 at 2.5 Mb, when they're uploaded and converted to rickroll2132.flv, and rickroll5434.flv, repsectively, chances are there is still a size difference, even if they both are the same playtime, so buffering WOULD take longer for the original RickRoll file.
Nah, every video loads awfully. Any tips I could use to optimize my browser?

Well, I'm running Opera on Vista now, and youtube is just awful. Perhaps they're doing a server upgrade.
