It's a couple months late but PAL gamers have finally recieved the
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption Preview Channel. Probably has something to do with the fact that the game is coming out over there this month (November for you unlucky Aussies).
From what I can gather it's the exact same thing as what the North Americans got so long ago. I assume most, if not all of the PAL gamers have already seen the videos through the internet and YouTube so this will mainly be a decision based on whether or not you want a cool looking Metroid channel on your Wii Menu screen.
Pardon my ignorance, but what does PAL stand for?
Who knows..its just the Europe thingy
Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. Right. I knew that . . . >_>
There are a few television broadcast standards throughout the world.
North America has NTSC (named for the National Television System Committee).
Most of Europe & Africa, Southern Asia, and Australia use PAL (Phase Alternating Line).
The rest of Asia and Africa have SECAM (Séquentiel couleur à mémoire, French for "Sequential Color with Memory").
It's essentially just different standards in TVs which affects other electronics like video game consoles and DVD players. Which is why a Wii purchased in North America will only play games also bought in North America or other NTSC territories. Some things like the DS and PSP are region free, meaning they can play games from all regions, regardless of where they were purchased. There's a lot more to it but I'd just confuse you and myself.
In a nut shell, games are usually released seperately in each region since it takes a little bit of time to convert them and get them working for other regions.
EDIT:
Who knows..its just the Europe thingy
Or that works too.
>_<
Ah yes, got this update a few hours ago. pretty cool. How long will the stream last though? Hardly indefinitely?
*who cares cosmic?*
Your last video updates should come a couple of days before the game release. There are two updates at a time. But this makes me wonder if we'll get a SMG preview channel.
We have all the videos online bar one, which is the "Rundus" video, due 17th Oct.
To be honest im not even going to bother downloading the channel. Ive seen all the videos so whats the point?
