I posted this a looong time ago... it's still on the first page of Nintendo Games- Mario though. I guess we can just keep this one though since it's more recent.
Hmm... I like Mario Party but if it were on the DS I don't know. The gba one was kind of crappy. XP And I don't usually like online stuff but I agree it definitely would have helped if this had online. <<

it wasn't bad. played a bit at EfA. pretty much what i expected. nothing spectacular, but not complete crap either. falls in line with most Mario Party titles. kinda fun for a bit, then really boring. if it has single card multiplayer it won't be all that bad. like Tetris DS. happen to find someone at the airport or somewhere and play a couple quick games
anyway, if you're a Mario Party fan or want a quick and easy multiplayer game on your DS, this isn't such a bad game. if you want something new or special, save your money for something else
I suppose that's not too surprising. Now that I think about it, I enjoyed Mario Party the most when I was 12 years old... XP Holy cow, that was a long time ago. O_o
That's probably because when you're younger you're more easily entertained and for a much longer period of time. (hmmm)
Yes, there is wireless connection, up to 4 players.
Wi-Fi would've help a whole lot, but still not bad.

Definatly a party game. Story mode is a drag, but I feel forced to play it just to unlock the minigames...
It also has little arcade games to intertain you, Dr.mario clone, tetris clone, yada yada. Not bad, doesn't seem to unlock anything though.
Not too sure if its worth buying though.. I've lost all sense of the worth of a dollar.

The AI in the game is incredibly inconsistent and at times you'll be leading for the entire game when all of a sudden a CPU gets 2 stars and steals two of your own in one turn or stuff like that. And there's no bonus stars at the end like I remember in the console games and it kind of sucks.
The amount of boards is really limited. Nothing really spectacular.
All of that just screams Mario Party DS 2. There is clearly room for improvement. There is a strong chance of it happening, even though we don't want it to.
