Nintendo's the only company that's catered to the multiplayer party genre with the Mario Party series, even though Microsoft briefly flirted with the idea during the Xbox's launch days with Fuzion Frenzy. They've decided to resurrect the game, however, for a Hudson Soft.-developed sequel (who, coincidentally, also develops the Mario Party games) due to arrive this Christmas.
Set in a space environment across seven plants, Fuzion Frenzy 2 features more than 40 mini-games, including Collision Collusion, Turbine Jumper, and Super Slam Dunk, a slam dunk shootout in low gravity. The game will also take advantage of Xbox Live with online multiplayer and customizable tournaments where players can trade off on picking planets and mini-games.

i never played the first one becasue it didnt interest me and there was no xbl support. also, everyone i knew who had the first one was almost certain that this game would have seen a sequel with online multiplayer support on the xbox. then there was some rumor in '04 that a sequel was being worked on for the xbox, but months later it got canned. im assuming thats when MS was pondering the idea for their next gen system. who knows? maybe it didnt really sell that well, but every time the game is mentioned on gaming boards, people say positive things about it.
