Ratchet & Clank Future (available in retail stores soon) is the first retail PS3 game to support rumble out of the box. The game includes firmware update 1.94 on the disc and will allow players with DualShock 3 controllers to experience the incredible innovation of rumble.
The firmware is, as of writing, not yet available for download. DualShock 3 controllers will be available in Japan in November and in America next year.

Finally, a feature just added that's been around since Playstation 1/N64 heh

I understand what your saying, but people could also ask why the Wii doesn't have standard DVD playback capability and why the 360 doesn't come with standard WIFI. It seems that each system at some point has lacked what most would consider to be a very basic feature.
We should also remember that Sony was in a legal battle over the dualshock technology, which has apparently been cleared up.
I guess your right, I stand corrected.
I'm glad this has been fixed up... but to call this "innovation" was just a terrible choice of words.
Otherwise, good for Sony. Glad you fixed up your legal mess (despite your stupid higher ups calling rumble "last gen")
Rumble ftw.

I second that

I don't think nintendo ever claimed it was impossible to add DVD playback nor Microsoft WiFi to the console...
Sony's in a better PR place now 1 year from launch, hopefully the console will start doing much better and cause more price drops.

On that same note people who bought a PS3 knew that it didn't come with rumble feature at that time. I was just referring to the comment about how rumble was N64tech and that it should have been in there. Pointing out how Nintendo's Wii can't play DVDs like the other two can, and how the Xbox 360 doesn't have built in Wifi like the other two was just showing that no system has everything that people come to expect in a system in this day and age.
