yea i love this game too. i would like to see some more movement when i activate star power though Toungue
Another very minor annoyance is star power changes the volume/sound of the guitar. I'd rather hear the song as it was meant to be heard, not 80's rock distorted crap (it's fairly subtle, but easily noticeable if your not concentrating on picking tab). But I'm not using star power much anyways, as I'm just getting used to the songs while beating them, and thusfare haven't needed star power to beat anything.
you know, if you play a song you know pretty well, you dont have to pay attention much, so i started looking at the background stuff and it looks terrible. seriously, the singer has no expression at all, he's just moving his jaw. the drummer animation is pathetic, when it goes into a fast drum part he doesnt even do it, he just plays a beat. still love the game.
Yeah, I noticed both of those. The female singers motion is quite a bit better though, at least for dancing. Funny.
i started playing on hard from the get-go and didnt have any problems beating songs until i hit the last tier. i 5-starred the majority of them too. the last boss battle is infuriating! i couldnt beat him.

something that im finding interesting is that most people who have never played any GH will truly enjoy the version they first experienced the game. i missed out on GH1, but i absolutely love the song list on GH2. if you ask the GH1 players, they'll say that GH2's tracks arent that great. oddly enough, when playing GH3, i find myself being biased against GH3's tracks. don't get me wrong, there are some incredible songs on there. Muse's song is just a blast to play.

Harmonica mentioned not liking the bit of distortion that the star power adds. personally, i find it totally odd that game's settings are all in live venues, but the songs dont feel like that. the crowd is definitely a lot less rowdy. the characters have a lot less animations to them even though they look fantastic.

i definitely have to give them props on the online aspect of the game. more importantly, there's no lag. the layout of the leaderboards could use some work though.

overall, i think it's good. this was activision's first GH game after all. i just hope they learn from their mistakes and listen to their fanbase and polish up the next iteration to fully immerse the player.

i playing this on the 360, btw.
I'm hearing this game has Pro-Logic glitches....anyone playing through surround catch this?

I'm thinking of getting this for my GF.
when i bought this game on sunday, i played easy because i never played before. now i mastered easy and im on medium

batteling slash on medium is flippin hard! but i did it. the boss (lou) is gunna be tougher i know it!

anyone else find "raining blood" friggen rediculous hard?????????

i liked this game ALOT! i cant put it down for more than 2 min at a time lol
I still ahvent been able to beat Lou on Medim, The devil went down to Georgia is a tough ***ing song.

My only complaint is this: I beat Lou on easy and thus I should have unlocked the song. However, The devil went down to Georgia inst in my list unless I want to combat Lou to play it again. Its not on my bonus tracks or my playlist.

Anyone know of a cheat?

I really need to practise this song and I cant. : /

In order to practice you have to face Lou. At least up til now, Devil Went Down to Georgia is not a regular unlockable song. Kinda sucks, as I'd like to play it outside of battle mode.

My advice on medium is to stock pile the attacks and use them during the last 5th of the song (you'll have to weather Lou's storm [attacks] a few times). If you're having problems getting attacks, when you see them, ignore all other notes and just focus on the few that will give you the attack bonus. It's hard to fail the songs when Lou isn't attacking you. It took me about 5 tries.

Yea just wish I could slow it down and practise it so I can get better, I have tried to beat him like 10 times and Im stuck. I think I do as you suggested and save attacks until the end and just unleash them.

Yeah, I've beaten easy, medium, working on hard, and all the bonus tracks.

The game is incredible, gotta say though, the battle with Lou is really freakin' tough (medium). Also, Raining Blood is crazy hard, I haven't played it again in a while but it just seems really hard.

Anyways, it's awesome and the online is great too. I think i've won every match but like 1 or 2 maybe. : D
i cant even find guitar hero wii anywhere..its all ps3 and 360...
Gotta tell ya, using the wii-mote, no easy task. Thank goodness easy is so forgiving. At least I'm getting to unlock the co-op songs.

Well after much playing I have finally beat Lou on Medium, loved playing Through Fire and Flames after beating Lou. I really sucked playing it but it was very fun.

I started playing on hard anyone have nay tips on how to position your fingers? I mean there are 5 keys in use so do you keep 4 of the keys covered and just use your pinky to toggle between blue and orange? Or do you keep all others covered and use your pointing finger to cover both green and red?

Anyways havin a blast, great game and I have started playing Multiplayer and I am doing well there.

If I had my wii on I would post my code so you could add me...I'll do that later.

Anyone else find there is alot of disconnects in the multiplayer mode, I started using auto to find a game but it takes like 4-5 tries.

Sometimes tap the pinky and then place back on blue, sometime you have to move your whole hand down one fret and reach for the greens.

Yeah I am finding that different song will force you to psoition your fingers differently. I been playing a few songs on hard and its been a challange LOL.

This is gonna take some time.

i finally completed medium. lou was tough at the end. starting hard. got a few hard songs completed. PRACTICE MODE FTW
I'm stuck at Lou on medium right now. So instead I've been playing Killswitch on medium until I master it, so far I've hit 94% on medium.
