Got my Guitar Hero 3 for my Wii and I was really excited about this release. I played it nonstop for about 4-5 hrs and beat all the 40+ titles on easy with either a 4-5 star rating.
Awesome game and tons of fun. I dropped about 110 Canadian for the Guitar and Game and I know I am gonna get my monies worth with this title.
With the Wii remote being "apart" of the guitar is a really awesome faeture. The rumble from your screw ups and the noise it generates is amazing. Having to go against Slash was very cool too.
This is a 9/10...buy it, it really rocks.
Now I did play a few songs on Medium and I am finding it much more difficult than the PS2 version of GH2 I used to have. SO looks like I will have to practise some.
Fun times ahead.

Medium "Through the Fire and Flames" is like expert on GHII..... no lie.
Doesn't help that it's freaking 10 minutes long.

i was going to write up a preview of this game after playing it at EfA, but apparently i missed the launch date and only got to try it like a day before it's release. what a croc -_-
anyway, the game still looks great on the Wii. i think the Wii guitar is better b/c of the weight on it. just a bit heavier, but not too heavy. the battle mode is fun if you're against an evenly matched opponent. the guy i played against wanted to do a song on expert from the final list. i haven't played in like 4 months. jackass. anywho...
it's pretty much the same GH. looks much more "mature" tho. definitely glad i can finally play GH on my Wii tho

I played through all of easy after beating the three Bosses(I wont spoil it) it was great fun. It took me 4 tries tonight to beat the first boss on medium tonight and holy **** its so much tougher.
I don't know if you can compare GH3 medium to GH2 on hard but medium is much much harder than previous versions. You are constantly using all 4 buttons through each and every song.
Oh and Muse's tune, Knights of Cydonia is truely kick ass!

That's exactly the setup.
So I went ahead and bought it on Wii. I'm up to the 7th set on medium, and the difficulty seems to be harder on medium than previous guitar heros. I'm sucking big time on battle, as I still don't know exactly what to do to win other than stock pile bonuses. The only gripe I've thusfar agreed with is that the notes are somewhat smaller or harder to see, causing me to play in full screen mode (does the wii version support 16x9?). Everything else thusfare has been great.
Another question, can all songs be played/unlocked 1 player? I was reading wiki and they said you unlock sabotage and suck my kiss by playing co-op. That sucks, I don't want to have to buy a second guitar, and I don't know anyone close who has it on wii.
it took me 2 tries to beat the first boss on medium
only reason it took 2 tries was because my whammy bar wasnt working for some reason the first time and he would attack me with the whammy bar item and i couldnt stop it
after i found out what i was doing wrong with the whammy bar i KILLED him the 2nd time
2nd boss on medium is tough too. took me a couple of tries to beat him
F***ing excellent game.
my only complaint (and it doesn't even count) are the movement of the bodies when playing a song
but then again, who is watching the bodies when you're ripping it up on the guitar

On easy it's really not that difficult, and I believe you can unlock everything in a couple hours or so.
my friend just got it for the wii and im going to his house today to rock out with him
i still cant get used to hard though.... practice mode FTW!
