what the crap is going on? so the guy wants to buy a DS browser from a member or is he asking for money to buy one himself? i don't understand buying it from a member. might as well buy one online and get it shipped. if you want people to just give you money to buy a DS, don't get your hopes too high. with all the ways of getting some extra cash (extra chores, mowing lawns, paper route, etc.) people probably won't just give you money. if someone has it in their heart to donate i'm not going to stop them. i'll leave it open, but to all you replying, i will delete your post if you try to flame abhirupk. he's not really doing anything wrong. like none of you have ever asked for help before

Basically, at first his post was saying that his family aint so rich and he wants a ds browser then he kept on asking for people to give him money, then after I gave my first post he changed his story.

'Oh, my family is kinda' rich, they just wont give me money to buy games'

His current edited post is fine because he is enquiring of purchasing one from a fellow member, I was only outraged by his original post and lie.

Yes I have asked for help before but asking for help is different from lieing about your situation begging for money.

I'd get a job. In today's society, people will pay you to do just about anything they don't want to. In addition to college I have two jobs, just so I can afford to feed my dog, pay for gas/insurance AND buy the stuff I really want.

On the other hand, you can always buy it used somewhere if you hunt long enough.

Nomad you didn't see his original post before he edited it. It was pretty stupid to say the least. he was saying his family was poor and wouldn't buy him games. All the same, flaming is definitely not what I intended.

Don't get onto the guy because he doesn't have money. I don't either. I can't get a job here anywhere, and I've tried so hard to get one. xD

Maybe we should fill this thread with constructive ways for young 'uns to make money. Mowing lawns is a good idea, as is baby sitting or pet sitting. See how much your "not rich but fairly rich" parents will give you for household chores like cleaning out a dirty garage or attic, or ask nearby relatives or family friends if they have a task they'd pay you to do, doing yard work or the like.

When I was in middle school and high school and needed extra money, I'd put up a flier on the church bulletin board, advertising a babysitter with light housekeeping included. That worked really well for me, maybe you can try something similar. Keep it at a reasonable rate, and work hard without any bullshit, and you'll have more business than you can handle
