Max Console's picked up quite a few rumors, many of them Wii related. So let's get right to it.
- IO-Interactive's next Hitman game, tentatively slated for release next summer, is coming to Wii.
- Even though the forthcoming Prince of Persia 4 will probably not be coming to Wii, the system will receive an "alternate title" in the Prince of Persia franchise.
- Neither of n-Space's two Wii titles stars a ghost. However, they are even more ambitious than that ghost game and far better. One features a temple level that looks like it was swiped out of Red Steel and the other more ambitious title features an alien reptilian creature who bares quite a resemblance to Ganondorf. I'd be surprised if either sees release before March 2009.
- That non-Metroid game Retro Studios is working on is a new IP that is not an FPS.
- Zoonami has a few titles that will be available through WiiWare next year.
- Q Entertainment is working on WiiWare title or two for release for next year.
- ChuChu Rocket! comeback for DS and/or Wii.
- Red Steel 2 not before May, with multiplayer and co-op.
- Fight Night 2008 is coming to the Wii.
- Super Punch-Out! is coming to Virtual Console next year.
- Monster Games is developing another game for Nintendo, that is not an Excite Truck sequel.
- Wii Motor Sports Airplane is a WiiWare title.
- Mario Superstar Baseball Wii is sliding to home base in the summer.

In my personal opinion none of these rumours make me think 'OMG I HOPE TIS IS REAL!!'.

Ew. Make Ubisoft stop Red Steel 2 before they EMBARRASS themselves like they did with RS1. Man that game was utter trash.
agreed, RedSteel was pretty bad, but there was alot to work with. i could see the sequel being a very good game if they fix all the problems and put in a great deal of effort. RS1 felt rather rushed to be put out as a launch title. if they put in proper work on this, it could be a highlight for the Wii, or it could crash and burn in a huge firey ball of poo.
woot for Retro Studios! my heroes. can't wait for their next game regardless what it features (aside from clowns. no clowns... >.>)

other things are good. nothing real great, but what can you really expect from rumors? they're basically just people guessing at what will happen. i prefer hard updates from developers and publishers themselves.
I was really hoping for an FPS from Retro. This new IP better be flippin' good though.
Knowing them it will be. I was hoping that Retro would go back to one of their projects they put on hold. Maybe they still will. And Baseball probably will be delayed since Nintendo is trying to space out their titles.
i wouldnt be surprized if retro didnt make an fps, there probably sick of the first person view.
And i may be the only one, but i like red steals controls, they could of maybe let u adjust the sensitivity, but overall i thought it was good.

Why do I have a bd feeling that a lot of developers are going to only concern themselves with cheesy downloadable "Wii-Ware" games?
I don't think the idea of WiiWare is "cheesy" because it has potential to big eddition to what Wii offers. Essentially it's Nintendo's answer to Microsoft's XLA, which earns them lots of extra money and gamer like original titles. WiiWare can be the same thing with the same success.
this is true, but its still not as easy to use as Microsoft's system i think. but with some work, they might be able to pull it off, or they might be able to disapoint us in every single way like they have lately, we'll see.
Seeing as the Wii is a "casual" gaming system, I'm guessing developers will probably mostly concern themselves with Wiiware.
If its one thing I learned, its that small 2-d games that take less time then baking a pie, and make just as much, if not more, money then fully developed 3-d games that developers spend years on do.
ex. Bejeweled, Peggle, Zuma... etc.
That would be Wii's main focus, I predict.

Hmm... Only thing I really caught there was Mario Superstar Baseball. X0 Whee I love Mario sports titles. X3 They're the only sports games I'll lay my hands on.
Except Mario golf. For some unknown reason it's the only sport I exceptionally suck at. O_o Irl and in games. Hm...
