Well it looks like Rockstar games will never learn. After the massive commotion surrounding the "Hot Coffee" mod in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and the outlawing of the original Manhunt 2, the controversial company now has something new to worry about.
Roughly a day after release of the game, hackers have figured out how to unlock the censored material in the PS2 and PSP versions of Manhunt 2. This "censored material" was the very reason Manhunt 2 was given an Adults-Only rating from the ESRB, causing it to see no shelf life for all three systems of its release. As of now, there have been no announcements regarding whether the Wii version of the game still has this content on the disc, but it can only be presumed so.
The real question on many minds is if the ESRB will take any further action against Take Two or Rockstar Games, or will our good friend Jack Thompson have anything to say on the matter? Perhaps the very thing that happened to San Andreas will happen to Manhunt 2 in its temporary removal from the shelves so that it can be re-edited.

I'm taking bets on how long it takes for Jack Thompson to jump all over this and make something out of nothing like the GTA hot coffee thing.
Also D4rk, why can't I get the float tags to play nice with the source links?
Doesn't surprise me, cause from what i have hear all that was done is some of the graphic adult only stuff was just blurred out.
*waits for Jack Thompson to get on his horse*
christ... I'd better pick up a copy of this before they DO pull it off shelves...
Thats what I was thinking too, would rather have that one than the edited one.

Umm..why?
to see the 'adult' material obviously. but anyways, Rockstar seem like attention whores that live off controversy. they make good games though, so i'm happy
so, you know, I can own the game

Yeah I've been having trouble with that lately too. It's weird, the float tags seem to jump a line down now for some reason. Is it because the picture is the same length as the article?
It's the same with The Simpsons game...Grand Theft Scratchy wasn't removed, the name of the level was changed but all the GTS content and artwork has been left in tact.
fixed, and kindrik, you left his sig there and his image on photobucket. for shame.

I'll try not to be as lazy next time.
dude, i think this is totally wrong, the ESRB rating system is there for a reason, and a good reason at that, lest all you gamers forget. (unless im mistaken) i am pretty sure that the ESRB was created by gamers and game makers because the government and there old women with to much time on there hands was on a crusade to get rid of violent games the world over, but the gaming community decided to create the ESRB so that it wasnt monitered by the goverment. So rockstar should play nice with them, before they get ESRB shut down, and then we get a goverment run rating system, and how much fun would that be?
also, IMO even if a goverment run rating system is involved or not, i still think it is good to have a reliable system and i think that cheating that system to get kids things they shouldnt have is wrong, and there should be actions taken.
yes, because the difference between the ages of 17 and 18 are SOOOO drastic
^-- that was a sarcastic comment
how about someone being outraged that it's effectively impossible to put out AO content on a major console due to censorship whores? oh, wait, that's me. Does anyone else find it ridiculous that creative licenses are being shot down because companies won't allow games to be published and stores won't carry them? maybe it's time adult video game stores pop up next to porn shops...
so far as I'm concerned, score about 1,000,000 for Jack Thompson, score 0 for free speech
"Oh say can you see..........."
Well, Yahtzee summarised up this game.
Its obvious that this game is made for 18+ people, but unfortunately the vast majority of its fans will be in their early teens because lets not kid ourselves. At the younger ages its a great way to make friends, but in the office its a quick way to lose them.
Zero Punctuation ftw!
*salutes*
Also, o noez! Teh Jack Thompson Signal has been turned on.
Thus far I've only heard this happening with the PSP version of the game. I really doubt Nintendo would allow this game to have the word Wii on the cover if it had the full AO game unlockable inside.
Is it an intentional unlockable... or is like the Hot Coffee Mod? And only obtainable through unnatural methods. If so, then its highly possible that its in there. Without Nintendo knowing, but if it is and Nintendo finds out then who knows what will happen to this game.
