(I don't know what section to put this in so i just put it here)

Fps games are one of the biggest if not the biggest(most popular) genre in gaming. So I'm wondering what FPS game is your favorite all time.

Personally for me it's perfect dark for the n64(sequel to goleneye). Great split screen multiplayer, huge variety of weapons, good Rank and awards system, Great AI for bots in multiplayer, all around amazing.
Ditto for Perfect Dark. BTW it wasn't a sequel to GoldenEye.
definitely was a sequal
007: Golden eye? for n64..if your talking about Nintendo consoles.

How so? The only similarity between GE and PD is that they're both FPS and made by Rare. It's not a sequel.

SP: Half Life 2

By a long way. I genuinely felt attached to the characters and I couldn't stop playing the first time through.

MP: Unreal Tournament

I still love this game. The redeemer completely owns
GoldenEye.....
007 GAMES FTW!!!!!!!!!!!

Really HappyExclamationBowroflBowroflPh43r M3h
Duke nukem 3D (wheres my sequal)

Or Perfect Dark

Unless James Bond underwent a sex change, changed his/her name, and got younger as time progressed into the future and somehow got caught up in an extra-terrestrial war , I'm pretty sure Perfect Dark was not a sequel to GoldenEye...or else I missed something really, really big along the way.

Sequal to golden eye was - Tomorrow never dies (it was a bond film)(even thow it wasnt by RARE)
Half Life 2 has no competition...and if anyone mentions Halo...watch out Big Grin
Well in perfect dark you can unlock some classic levels that where in goldeneye such as temple and facility. And when you are playing multiplayer, your player goes up ranks and one of the ranks you get to is 00-agent. Its a sequel but it's lots of years later, passed bonds life.
personally my fave was alien vs predator 2, which is still my fave lan party game. nothing like having 3 differing races w/ totally different capabilities and strengths. avp2 also had fairly strong single player campaigns, but playing over lan is what made it my fave. i also was a huge fan of the original ut.

i agree that halo is grossly overrated, but it did do alot to define multiplayer fps gameplay on consoles.
Turok 2: Seeds of Evil for it's massive single player campaign and ludicrously diverse selection of weaponry and enemies, both real and unreal. Cerebral Bore was always so satisfying... and what other game gives you a portable Nuclear Device?

Since this is in the Nintendo Games section, it's best to stick with what was on a Nintendo system, otherwise we'll hear nothing but Half-Life's and Halos. By the way, ever notice PC games have unbelievably shitty pacing? I kept getting tunnel vision throughout Half-Life 2 and F.E.A.R. , though Half-Life's Episodes had far better pacing. And F.E.A.R. had great AI to make up for it.
Perfect Dark

for single player and campaigne
super 3d Noah's ark by far.
quake and quake II
