Can anyone tell me when Dementium for the Ds will be available in Canada? In the USA it's been available since Oct. 25.
OMG i can not wait to play that game.
Rawrmander seems insistent that we try it out, but I'm yet to decide.
Best. Game. For. DS. Ever!

Seriously? Its great, also, for you graphics nuts, I'd consider it *almost* PSP quality. The bloody gore in some places looks really pixel-y. Otherwise, love it.

Story wise, I'm still in the dark.
You wake up in a psychiatric ward. Blood is everywhere.
You can't see more then a foot in front of you. You finally find a flashlight (your best friend) which lets you see further, then you find a nightstick. (At this point I was a little weary, since I'm pretty sure the developers wouldn't throw an enemy at me until I was able to defend myself, so now I began to worry of said creatures)

You find messages and such written here and there, (in your room you find a note book saying “Why did you do it?” which makes me wonder if maybe I am the owner of this ward, with amnisea or something, that would be a crazy plot twist.) names of other patients, the year, etc. You walk down the corridor and notice some... thing, with a butcher knife, dragging a woman from her room into an emergency room. Luckily for you the room is locked so no need to check what’s going on there and risk your ass.

You go outside (the roof), and walk along the metal walk ways between the buildings, you walk in one building and see a man, the only one so far other then you, but before you even get a chance to talk with him…

I’m spoiling it enough for you, just buy it, download it, w/e. Just play it.
I won’t be able to figure out all these puzzles by myself >.<
Eg. There’s a shotgun (zomg! Need it!) but its in a cage with a combo-lock, luckily this puzzle is easily figured out. Same with the piano (yes a piano you must play a certain melody to continue), also easily figured out, if you know where the notes are... or found the piece of paper that informs you about said notes (which I personally didn’t find)

There's more, but... find out yourself. I’d call it slow-paced, but that’s because I prefer to walk and peek around corners before running through them... don't want a zombie-like thing surprising me and killing me.

The whole point of the game… is to figure it out. It’s a mystery. Plus I guess you would want to find a way out of that messed up place.

Three complaints about it though:
1. Certain enemies re-spawn in areas after you leave and come back, your ammo doesn't.
2. Saving. Saving and quitting makes you start at the loading area of where you saved (which is ok, the sections are small enough for this to not be a problem) BUT, when you die, you restart from the beginning of the chapter (Which still isn’t too bad, they aren’t really that long, 6 chapters in about 2 hours)
3.You can’t really tell when you’re running or not. You barely notice the difference. (which is crucial if you are running away from a creature hell bent on killing you and you don’t want that to happen)

All in all, not bad at all. And I’m only on chapter 6... don’t even know my name yet.
I have started figuring out why this place exists though…

Can’t wait to be more informed on the plot, and its fairly challenging... something Nintendo hasn’t been able to deliver for a while. (Its not Nintendo... but hey, thanks for helping out Renegade Kid) Trying to not run out of ammo, while fending off the abominations, can be quite a difficult thing to manage, running is sometimes the better option, but running makes you miss clues... which you might require to finish a puzzle. It’s a real thinking game, with plenty of action. Two things I love in games.

I was already working on it xD

I should do my homework... -_-;
holy @#$234 i gotta have this game.

Is it a long game? I don't know if I'll go as far as buying it if it stays at full price, but is it possible to complete in a rental?
I haven't beaten it. Rawr has though and he says it's short. Very short, yet still great. It's worth a buy, but also really great rental value.
Its about 8 hours. 5 hours if you rush through it. (Meaning, don't attempt to get all the side-quest weapons, or use a wlkthrough when stuck...cheaters)
10 hours if you include back tracking in case you *think* or actually did, miss something, or died.

A definate rent, a so-so buy. This is a game best played under the covers of your bed, with headphones, blasting the amazing audio into your ears... ear piercing screams never sounded so good.

I say buy if the price drops, rent now.

I haven't beaten the game, but I'm on the last chapter, died twice already.. I should beat it by midnight today.. under the cover of the night... damn flying heads...
As far as I know, you have to piece together the plot yourself. Unless of course after I defeat the boss they give me a cinematic explaining everything.. which I doubt. You have to discove the plot yourself reading clues and diaries, etc. I like it. Sets the feal that you are an amnesia suffurer and have to peice it all together.. or not and just concentrate on getting the hell out of that hospital.

Amazing game, short.. but amazing. I'd still consider it a buy just for the fact its that good. But rent it at least.
