IGN has given Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn and 8.0/10 which according to their scale it's an impressive game. The did have some criticisms about how the game is really a GCN game since it's uses none of the Wii's capabilities, not even in the graphics department. GCN data from Path of Radiance can be transferred to the game and there are 3 control options. It would have been nice to if Nintendo did take the next step with the game, but it seems they took the "if it isn't broke, don't fix it" route. But since it's a great FE experience that's all that matters, still on the lazy side though.
IGN Review
Its true, its hardcore a GCN game. Meh, I still think FE works better on handhelds, unless they REALLY work on the 3D graphics used.

8/10 is a good score, I'll probably pick it up when it releases down under.
But they could have done it with Radiant Dawn and chose not too. I guess since it was originally plannd for GCN like Super Paper Mario & DK Barrel Blast they left it alone. There is hope for the next true Wii FE.
No doubt there is. I expect a lot of improvement in the visual department. I mean, the battles look bland still. They could do so much better I'm sure.
on top of that, couldn't the Wii's IR be implemented really well? Correct me if I'm wrong as I've never played a FE game (sorry! I PLAN to) but isn't it's genre of strategy kinda whatever conducive to IR pointing?
I saw it at EB Games..looks good but I dunno anything about FE.
Fire Emblem is much more suited to the DS and its touch screen.
That's a good point. I do plan, however, to get this one for the holidays.
Is it worth buying? I don't plan on buying much til after the holidays, but if it's really good I may go pick it up.
Like LMX said, an 8/10 isn't a bad score and it's at least worth renting. It may not be a Wii game by controls of graphics but the other parts are probably good.
