I've just been playing this one recently to get me in a Mario mood for Galaxy. I really like it, I've heard quite a few people didn't, which surprises me. What are your thought on the game?

This game is what nearly put me off Mario.

If you cover your eyes and ears and ignore the fact Mario 64 existed then this game is freakin' awesome in some areas. But the fact is it does exist and thus this game loses some of that shine.

Why would I say such a thing?

Its stupidly easy (except the "Secret" Stars where Shadow Mario takes FLUDD) and annoyingly short. The final boss was a push over... even more so than usual.

The residents of Sunshine were just plain stupid looking. And there was no Luigi in sight.

Paper Mario 2 did a better job with Mario's name than this game did.

I am reviewing this game next month in honor of Galaxy's release. And I'm going to have so much fun.
lol I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I wasn't bothered by the fact that their was no Luigi, plus I didn't find the residents looking to stupid Toungue. Oh well here's hoping Galaxy is better for you, from the previews it definately looks it.
Galaxy is a massive improvement already.

And is a true successor to Mario 64 as well, unlike Sunshine aka Mario 64 v1.5 feat. FLUDD.
I liked it the first time I went through it..then stopped liking it when I played it again this year.

Yes I agree, it looked incredible. Better then most of the Wii games out at the moment IMHO.

that was just

wow.

PEACH was in that game, youll be hurting her!

Everything was amazing, especially graphically. Mario. Peach. Shadow Mario. The water looked beautiful. Even the slime looked great. From the moment I first played it, I loved it. Yes, it was on the easy side, but I loved it all the same. The gameplay. The graphics. The controls. The overall flow of the gameplay. All was brilliant. Well, in reiteration, I didn't hate it at all.
My review will score it probably from 6-7 out of 10... depending on how generous Corruption makes me feel.

The game was trash.
Idk, I really liked it, although I'm not much of a critical rater. I never played Super Mario 64 beforehand (Still haven't, actually, although I definitely will soon) though. I really liked this one in many ways... Especially the gameplay and graphics, they shined. (No pun intended)

That's a very good way of putting it. Smile

I guess if you hadn't played Mario 64 then I can understand why you'd think it was so new.
Yup. Whether or not I play Super Mario 64 in the near future, Super Mario Sunshine will still be a great game in my mind.
