From the Rumor Mill in the December issue of EGM (#222):
Some game series never seem to die. And some live on for reasons we cannot explain without getting a horrendous headache. The otherworldly first-person shooter Geist for the GameCube is one game we thought passed away, but it seems its ghost is not down with dying. A chatty spectre recently spilled to me that developer n-space is working on a Geist sequel. What system, you ask? Oh, you kiddos always want to know all the answers. Actually, I do, too, but it seems like this sequel may materialize on either the DS or the Wii
Ask any role-playing game nerd what sequel they want and they'll probably give you a list of a thousand games. Narrow that list down to Dreamcast RPG titles and one will probably be at the top of the list: Skies of Arcadia. Well, if my swashbuckling pirate is correct, a Skies of Arcadia sequel is in the works. Yes, really.
Geist wasn't a particularly well received game for the Cube, but the concept was certainly intriguing. The Wii control scheme presents some interesting concepts as well, so hopefully they can pull it off. As for Skies of Arcadia, it was an outstanding RPG and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see the sequel on the Wii given Nintendo's strong relationship with Sega and the re-release for the game was on the GameCube (and sold quite well). The Wii could use some RPGs.
Other scuttlebutt not necessarily related to the Wii but interesting nonetheless:
- God of War 3 may see a holiday 2008 release on the PS3.
- Gears of War 2 may also get a holiday 2008 release on the Xbox 360.
- an unspecified triple-A third-party title scheduled for late next year will be pushed up to spring (it's not MGS4, GTA4, or DMC4).
- DS game It's a Wonderful World is coming to North America.
- Microsoft is working on a massively-multiplayer online first-person shooter for the Xbox 360 (Bungie project?).
- Disgaea 3 for the PS3 will not be online, but the next one will be.
Wow, some good info here. Lots of sequels, good stuff. The prequels were all decent games as far as I know.
SKIES OF ARCADIA!! Hell yeah i want a sequel!!!!!!!
kool never played skies of acradia, but a good RPG is always fun... now if we could get a good MMO for the wii...
P.S. this is my last post for 3 days, going to mexico for the weekend.

No, you are wrong. Bungie is no longer owned by Microsoft, but are free to continue making games for them (or any other platform).
on top of that, they have said that they will still work hand in hand with Microsoft--just because Microsoft doesn't own them anymore doesn't mean they'll stop developing for Microsoft. They'll likely still focus on Microsoft
I'm a little skeptical on all these, but they're certainly within the realm of possibility. We'll just hafta keep our eyes peeled.

i know that, but it says microsoft it making a game..and bungie isnt microsoft, even if they make a game for 360, that still doesnt make them microsoft

You are taking it too literally. Bungie would probably work alongside Microsoft Game Studios (as with Halo) to produce said game, and Microsoft would be the publisher.
you can't say as with halo...cuz that's when bungie was owned by microsoft, so technically bungie was microsoft...
but i guess i could be wrong..it doesn't even effect me in any way, im not planning on gettin the 360.
SKIES OF ARCADIA!! Hell yeah i want a sequel!!!!!!!
No kidding! It was a fun game.
