In the December issue of EGM (#222), after mentioning that God of War 3 may make a holiday 2008 release for the PS3, they offered this little snippet:
Don't worry, Xbox lovers - we're also hearing rumblings that Gears of War 2 is revving up for a release next holiday as well.
Good stuff. Also of interest (I believe there has already been a thread about this), apparently Microsoft is working on a MMOFPS for the 360, and hint that Bungie could be the developer.
I have been told by 2 people that its being released sometime in june.
Not sure if they are right.
I am not going along with this.
For those who know Epic will know when Epic releases a game, they stick to it for a long time period and just keep patching and modding.
They are still working with gears and have just released a PC version. I say GoW2 will be on 360, just later on.

The gap being 4 years. During that period numerous patches and mods being released even 'deathball'.
I believe I heard this rumor before. It also said something about the next Halo game coming out the year after that. Apparently Gears of War and Halo are switching off year after year. I doubt its true (the whole switching thing) but Gears of War 2 is totally possible next holiday season.
I've heard the Halo-Gears switching thing, too. It makes sense, after Gears' success -- an dthat would mean Gears is next to get a release.
