My iPod is one of those things that must be with me all the time. It's just good to have the ability to listen to multiple songs off of one device quickly and easily.
Yeah, I had the problem of not hearing my phone because I muted it when I was traveling and listening to my iPod. With the iPhone I can now listen in piece without worrying about missing a call. I still have my 80gb iPod Video locked and loaded for longer trips though.
The thing I have to ask is why you would need to carry that much music around with you everywhere you go? I have my iPhone and it has some music and videos on it, but aside from when I flew to E4A, I've rarely used the iPod features on it. If it wasn't for the web browser rendering and intuitive GUI, I would seriously ditch it.
I've been a runner for 8 years (since Frosh year in HS), and now that DAPs are more prominent, I run with music. The iPod/Zune may be one of the better devices to use, but they're horrible to run with. Nothing beats running with my 128 MB memorex, I load with enough songs for up to a 2 hour/15 mile pound out, fits in my hands, and use my ear clip headphones. For everything else, I use the iPod. If im tired of a song, I flick a "joystick" on the side of my memorex, on the iPod, I have to worry about clicking the clickwheel, accidentally hitting the wrong spot, etc. The navigation doesn't allow for easy access to content, either.
see, I must be lucky, because I've always found the iPod interface much better than the competitors...

erm-erm, I'm getting an iPod touch. Now there's an interface. But I always enjoyed the iPod Mini's Click-Wheel, it always did the job. Plus after a while, you are able to know how much of a 'flick' you have to give it to go to a certain band etc.
The moral of the story is that MBX has an iPhone and wanted to tell the world discreetly like an ass........ I love you x

I leave my iPhone on my pocket the whole time I'm outside where I am and since I have my headphones plugged in I don't even have to take it out to answer it. I hate people who try to show off. Besides, it's not like it's so expensive that it's wow. It's been too long to be wow anymore.

the "WOW" factor always dies out within a while anyways. i remember when the motorola razr was "exclusive" and i was one of the first people to have it. everyone was like OMG!!!!!!!!! but then eventually it got mainstream, everyone had one, and now its played out technology for every phone company under the sun.
anyways, my zune comes in tomorrow from woot.com. it shipped out on the 14th and will arrive via FedEX on saturday......yay!!!!

after a few weeks of owning my zune i love the thing. i find it so great! the radioshack deal sounds alot like my woot deal but was it the brown color may i ask? i know toys R us had it for 100$ too but it was also in brown.
my woot deal was in black or white which lemme tell you was the total bargin package for me! they also had that if you buy 2 zunes or more, you get the travel kit for free which was a 100$ value. i only got the one i got the accessories off of ebay it was a lot of 13 products (4 cases, av cables, ac brick, ect) for 20$ 5$ shipping worth it to me
i love the zune and how its just one simple click and BAMN! youre entire music collection is imported without any problems. i find it amazing. i like it better than itunes

In my opinion this video doesn't do much for Zune, because it doesn't do much for me. I look at that and my iPod touch and I just want to hug it tight and never let go. Zune looks very plain and business-like. Since when is music a busi.... never mind. Well you get what I mean. I'd say go for an 8GB iPod touch. I know it isn't an awful lot of space, but as Joker said, most of the time you'll be searching the city for some free Wi-Fi to browse the various interwebs and YouTube.
I really have to show my dislike for the portrait screen design of the Zune at 240 x 320. Zune reminds me constantly of a dull cell phone, where as iPod is something different. I know that many people don't to buy it because it seems to be the trend-setter's media player (which it probably is), but this is my second iPod and I'm very happy. It's easy to use, fun to use, and is packed with features and a bright, sharp, colorful screen.
iPods seem a bit pricey compared with Zunes, so that's why it's important to get your money's worth i.e. don't buy a Nano
i got the 30G zune not this tiny 8G one. i like mine alot better even though its bigger i dont care i love it and find it very user friendly and fun to use!
