The Legend of Zelda sage Eiji Aonuma has said that he'd like to produce a 3D remake of the SNES classic, "The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past." Talking to ONM, Aonuma enlightened, "Ocarina of Time was the first title I worked on, and I was continuously tackling challenges every day during its development, so I think this is the title I feel I impacted the most…I have to say though, the first Zelda game that I played and felt potential in was Link to the Past. I'm actually very interested in what it would be like if we remade that title as a 3D game."
Just as interesting, Aonuma gave mention to the next Zelda adventure. Curiously, he stated that the game could sport a different look depending on what works best with the story and gameplay. We can't wait to see what Nintendo has in mind.
I played this game a LOT on my GBA when it was (ported) on there. And I love that game on my VC. But would having a remake mean that I basically bought the same game over? :S

It would be an awesome thing to see done... I'm sure though there'd be tons of extras added on top of what the game already holds.
And a TP styled ALttP would be so rad...Just imagining the wizard fight is enough to keep me drooling right now...

It would be like buying the same thing over again, but it would be worth it to play a classic like that in 3D and with possible new features.
well they beefed up the emulator for halo2 on the 360 to make it run at 720p
why can't they beef up the emulator for gba games to make them 3D?

Its already my second favourite Zelda game, with TP style graphics it might even knock off Ocarina of Time.
DO IT NINTENDO! Maybe then SquareEnix will see its okay to remake the best games (ie FF-VII) in actual 3D.
I'm sure though if enough interest is shown they will deny it but continue mentioning and hinting at it and actually produce it much like a FF7 remake.

I think it was a bout 2 years ago when I was playing Wind Waker I wondered whether they'd every remake ALttP with the Wind Waker engine, but the TP engine would be even better...or an entirely new one for the Wii. Either way I'd buy it

ALttp with the WW or TP engine was be win.
A build off of the TP engine would work better for ALttP because the story to it is so dark.

I wonder what type of new look on the next Zelda they are considering is, it obviously can't be cel shaded or realistic... man I wish I could fast-forward into the future
<3 the original on the SNES, it's been my favorite game by far for years. if they do go through with this, i really hope they don't mess it up any in the switch to 3D. i have to wonder, though...would this be 3D WW style, or OoT style? Since there's a bit of darkness that wouldn't really be pulled off to its potential in cel-shading, i really hope its like OoT.
