Or anyone else.... sc7...?

I have a piece of software on my computer that my AVG has detected has 2 trojan horses in it. Now I want to get rid of the whole software. Should I use the uninstall feature, or should I just delete the files manually?

Which way is safer to get rid of the program and the trojans?

Thanks,

'Cosmic
uninstall....

shouldn't AVG have quarantined the virus anyway?
I'd be glad to help
However, there are many independents on this. The uninstaller may not be trusted and/or there may be other components hidden. Additionally, it just may be AVG overreacting.
1. Give me more details if you could (OS, and the program that it is)

2. Download Hijackthis, and post the log.

3. Download and run Rootkit Revealer, and post anything that may be detected.
Use system restore and set the system back to before you installed it... and stop looking up porn.

Prexv 2.0 ftw.
Thanks guys,

The OS is Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 and the program is Hypercam 2

I have attached the HijackThis Log, and will do the same for Rootkit Revealer later

Thanks
System looks clean, and AFAIK, Hypercam is legit software.
