I played Assassins Creed and COD4 at my friends house. [MiniCRAPreview]

Assassin's Creed: The game looks good, and plays pretty good. The story is..iffy, Spoiler: (hover to reveal the text)
The gameplay is pretty awesome, but so DAMN simplified. I have my reasons. I can kill a freaking army with counter attack XD. No skill. Same with platforming, all I need is RT And A, and I win the game. 8/10. Its pretty awesome..I was trying to speed run it. If I get a 360 for X-mas DEFINATE RENT

COD 4: im not a fan of FPS', but why did this game have to be in the middle east? It LOOKS LIKE THE BLOODY SAME PLACE AS COD3! D:. Thats why I like Rainbow 6: Las Vegas, it took people where gamers wanted to fight. America. The gameplay is pretty akward, its like freaking 80 fps, people reload in 2.3 nanoseconds. But I haven't seen the story or anything sooo.. 6/10

Well, since you're not a fan of FPS games then I'm surprised it was actually scored that high.

how did the game with crappy gameplay get a higher score than COD4? did you like that you could kick ass with one button/move?
i also dont think you played enough of COD4. i know the weapon reload time was an exaggeration, but i dont think you tried out all the weapons. try reloading the RPD in "2.4 nanoseconds". it's just not gonna happen. that thing takes forever to reload.

dude, just stick with your pre-rendered backgrounds in RPGs. seriously.

its a game they dont want you to be prone for ever and ya reload the bigger guns, the m60 takes a good 20 seconds to reload. cod4 is a beautiful game even the story mode is fun, game stole my heart

After reading a few reviews Assassin's Creed has become nothing more than your average adventure game with a few tedious elements. So it's nothing like I had hoped.

i played it its fun as hell man, you got to play it. aparantly its weird tho like weird in a good way and bad way (is waht my friend said) either way im going to borrow it from nick and beat it. ill base my opinion on that not on what other people say

As much as I respect that method... its been getting some pretty "meh" reviews. Nothing shocking, but still nothing as much as we had hoped.

i had high expectations for AC too. once i heard about the futuristic part, i got a little nervous. then i saw the combat gameplay and was completely turned off. nothing worse than seeing 10 guys surrounding you and waiting their turn to die. that's like something off a Steven Segal movie. terrible. the hype for this game is/was ridiculous too.

I thought Assassin's Creed would be better too. It's not terrible by any means, and I might be being a bit hasty as I haven't got very far yet, but after all the hype I can't help but feel a bit let down.

The point was, I barely played each game. I just played it enough, to give my 2 cents on it, and I really didn't like COD4 at all. I WANT TO FREAKING FIGHT IN AMERICA NOT SOMEWHERE THAT LOOKS THE BLOODY SAME AS COD3. I just think they could have spent more time on Gameplay. Halo 3 > COD4.

I'm hardly playing most RPG's now. I only play the RPG's that get really high scores. Its the way I role.

Also with Assassin's Creed, the reason I rated it higher is because, I like the way, you can go kill someone, and get more rankings pretty much, that aspect of the game was really good. I love the hidden blade XD

it hardly looks the same as cod3, ocd3 was full of grass, wooden and red brick buidldings cod4 is full of sand, yellow brick buildings. cod3 was in france mainly. cod4 is in russia and haha did kindrik actually take a rep back cause you were at 293 lol

COD3 was the worst of all the COD's.

Lol. Maybe I don't know I didn't play the others. I played through COD3's story..sorta. I rented it for the Wii and gave it back saying it did'nt work but the 360 version is awesome.

CoD4 is outstanding based purely on presentation values: the sound effects, music, voice acting, graphics, realism, setting are all top-notch. However it was about half the length that it should have been. I think I've watched movies longer than this game. I haven't had a chance to hit up multiplayer yet because I've moved on to other games, but I hear it is a ton of fun as well.

Which brings me to AC which I was diappointed to see the lukewarm reviews for after all the hype. I have only played the game for ~2-3 hours but have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. The AI has some huge issues, but its still very enjoyabe. I hear it gets quite repetitive over time, which I obviously I can't yet comment on. Also, this is one of the best looking games to date, especially considering the size of the environments, the number of people in them, and the incredibly subtle attention to detail in both the environments and the people in them. (I totally got a hard-on imagining a Zelda game using this graphics engine).

I recommend both (especially if you're in Canada, both for $90!).

omg cod3 is hands down the worse cod out of all the cod's now i know you must have not played cod4 cause no sane person who played both games would say that lol
