lol if you were to ask me this in a couple hourse the list would change most likely because i didnt put to much though t into it and have a lot of games that are ranked among the best in my head putting them in specific order is hard.

I was playing video games back before video games were cool. I'd have to say that Mario 64 really blew me away. It was such a huge leap for me and I had a ton of fun with it. There were so many worlds and tricks in it and the fact that Mario was finally 3D! I do love Galaxy but I'd have to say that Mario 64 gave me the greatest feeling of wow when I played it.

i think Mario Galaxy is a pretty cool game. But still Ocarina is the better game in a bunch of levels.. its a classic already!

I'd hafta agree w/ Cloud. I can't think of a platformer that's any better. I have a hard time picking a favorite anything (except color..), so I couldn't name any one game that's better than the rest.

Since I wasn't a gamer back in the day of N64 I was never around to see the "revolution". So When I look at any game out I dont judge them on who did what first. Or this was the first great 3-d game. I just judge them on how good they are.

So hands down I would have to pick Galaxy. Such an amazing game!

Mario 64 was my first Mario game I ever played and I thought it was a lot of fun and unique gameplay. Comparing that with Galaxy I can see that SM64 some repetitive gameplay. So I would have to give Galaxy a slight edge over SM64, but not greater than OoT.

I'm glad a lot of people are being logical.

I've been playing video games for about 15 years and I will continue to maintain that Crono Trigger is the greatest game of all time. Ever. All of these points are moot in the great shadow of Crono Trigger.

god chrono trigger has the best single player / story out of any game ive ever played. hands down.! pretty much every thing was FTW in that game

If people are going to say Galaxy beats out SM64, and we're disgarding the revolutionary factor then you have to say TP beats OoT. I mean, TP beats OoT in every single way. Yeah, TP was easy, but I can sit and play OoT right now, and beat it in 5-6 hours without losing more than 3 hearts. Of course touting your opinion around like it's fact is going to get you nowhere, but having double standards is pretty lame. Opinion or not.

Super Mario Galaxy is a great game, but far from the best game ever made. Maybe top 30. Maybe. I would hope that anyone who has been a gamer for more than 10 years would realize that. This game seems to have kind of a bandwagon effect right now, but to me there is nothing earth-shaking in this game, just a really, really well done platformer. After a while people will realize that. A game has to do something truly revolutionary to define it as one of the greatest games ever made. Galaxy just refined what was already there into an excellent game. Watch, the GameRankings score will slowly come down as all games do. It is the best game on the Wii, but that isn't saying a whole lot.

"Greatest whatever" is all opinions, you can take statistics, reviews, etc. But depending on what "counts" and what dosn't, the belonging title changes from game to game, person to person, thing to thing.

I thought Super mario galaxy was really fun but I don't really see how anyone could say its the best game of all time. its definately up there though
