i think the best way to describe the game would be Real Time Tactics. it's not as massive as an RTS, but it's not turn-based like tactics games

Having played FF12 on ps2 i had to get this because it continues on the storyline... And i just got it for xmas and i lvoed it...
Ugh, FF-XII... the game that built to nothing! But I will check this game out at some point. Maybe I'll get closure from this.
anyone saying the ps3 is lagging behind. what they used a ps3 recently? i just got one for xmas and was blown away by it. the way it streams media to it, its just awesome too. Playstation Network is not xbox live, but for being free, its great! and the purchase content seems interesting. not to mention 1080p trailers for movies they have (drools)
and the $499 version with 80GB is not too shabby.. considering last year they had the 60GB in $699. or the 40GB version at $399
Anyways sorry to be getting out of topic kinda. Square will probably do games with nintendo. but their main games will still be on the PS. But i could see them going for both the 360 and PS3.
And about this game. I can't believe i didn't hear about this game until yesterday. I'm so buying it.
PS3 and 360 are too equal for me to choose between. 360 has an established library, PS3 has a future promise for me.
So I can't choose between them. But its clear that 360 and Wii are spanking the PS3.
I am 67% done, having a hard time on the Chaos/Judge ***** battle. We are pretty buffed, but for some reason, I can't hold out long after the Judge shows up.
I love the Chrono Trigger-esque feel when you are on a map, and I love the old school FF feel to the way the characters look. And I really have enjoyed the story so far! It's a nice change of pace from other DS games I have played recently.
You should feel the last boss. Its friggin hard.
DS Final Fantasy games have never really looked appealing to be honest. Massive difference from the console in my view, doesn't have that same feeling. Most likely will skip this one.

Yes, big difference but on a whole I'm not a big handhelder. I mean it is interesting aspects and such just I'm not one for the ds rpg or psp rpg.
Oh I switched my FF games from the NES/SNES over to the GBA/DS/PSP and still enjoy them.
BTW This game is so hard to get everything. I am getting owned in Chapter 10's side quests. And I am level 50
