With freezing issues on both PS3 and 360, as well numerous reports of "dumb" AI, it just seems that Assassins Creed isn't what it was supposed to be.

Assassin's Creed. If you don't have online. And I think Assassin's Creed is really good..but has some lost potential.
i heard that AC and COD4 both have short singleplayer campaigns. personally, i'd go with COD4 because of multiplayer. theres just too many issues with AC. just go look at the youtube vids of AC.
what about Mass Effect? it's supposed to be fairly long singleplayer game. you could also go with bioshock if you havent played that.

Not trying to start but I want to see the AC Problems can you give me a link? Because I like to show my friends off by knowing more than them and having video proof will make my life easier lol.
I'm not a big fan of Bioshock, and I already decided I was gonna get Mass Effect, just because it looks epic :p, but I couldn't choose between CoD4 and AC. After hearing about all of these bugs, I might as well just get CoD4. Thanks guys.

You should renew your subscription. The multiplayer is the best part but single player still kick ass.

CoD4 multiplayer > Halo 3 multiplayer. (IMO) Better game overall...
(BTW, not biased, I hated all the other CoD before this one xD)
And AC is just the same repetitive crap.
Eavesdrop, find out who to kill, find person, kill, rinse, repeat.
I have my CoD4 now, I'll try it out in a minute.
I think you probably made a good choice for the long run.
