still havent completed it...but im quite a few hours into the game. just doing all the side assignments takes fricken forever, and that's the only way to get the "majority" of the game completed. plus you wanna take some time and find the cows. and run over monkeys. the Mako (your vehicle) will become your new best friend because it's proven to me that it doesn't get stuck on anything (although i have gotten it stuck a few times where i just couldnt move it T_T).

oh, and its not too complicated. i started playing and had no troubles, although there were a few times where i went to throw a grenade and accidentally hit the home/X/whatever the hell its name is button >.>

Just a few questions,

How long has it taken you guys to complete it?

Is the game too comlicated that I couldn't get into it?

I don't own many RPGs so im considering buying this sometime soon, any other info about the game would be nice aswell. Smile

it took me about 40 hours to complete and i did about 95% of all the missions. the game doesnt really have much of an in-game tutorial. make sure you read the instructions manual. the game is ridiculously detailed in it's background and story. you dont have to read it, but you can consider it an intro to the next two future sequels/games.

Ok thanks for the info. Just a few more questions...

How are the controls?

Is the combat good and are the menus hard to navigate?

Am I asking too many questions about a great game? And should I just go ahead and buy it!?

the controls take a bit of getting used to. i've never thrown a grenade with the select button in any other game...ever. driving the mako (terrain vehicle) is a bit of work. the menus are okay; theyre not the best and theyre borderline terrible especially if you want to buy or sell something from within your ship.

if youre into western rpg's which include long dialogues, deep stories, micromanaging your characters, and lots of (repetetive) side quests, then you'll like it. lol

something i have to mention too is that the game's framerate drops a lot. i even saw it drop in the ending credits. a black screen with words scrolling up and the framerate drops. wat?
ya i noticed the frame rate thing, fortunately thats as bad as this game gets its kicks ass in every other category!
there are alot of small glitches and problems, but you wouldnt really worry about it.
What the hell!? I didn't even know Mass Effect was an RPG! I thought it was a FPS. Either way I'll definitely pick this up.
