IGN Wrote:
Haze, a futuristic first-person shooter under development at Free Radical; and Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Conviction, the fifth installment in the stealth-based action series; have been delayed.

Ubisoft, publisher of both games, made the announcement as part of its fiscal first-half financial report today. Aside from the delays, Ubi's news was positive on the whole - the France-based publisher saw about a 52 percent jump in sales over the same period last year and an increase in profitability.

Ubisoft and TimeSplitters developer Free Radical announced their Haze project in 2005. At E3 this year, Sony revealed that the FPS would be a PS3 exclusive this holiday season. But don't start making room under the nondenominational holiday foliage just yet. According to Ubisoft, Haze is now shooting for the fourth fiscal quarter of 2007-08, which means sometime between January and March 2008.

Splinter Cell Conviction, previously scheduled for release during that period, will now ship in fiscal 2008-09, which begins in April 2008.

Ubisoft said the delays will have no bearing on its future earnings outlook, as they were already taken into account in recent financial projections.

this is kinda lame since iv been wanting to play HAZE for a while now, but on the other hand its ok since their are plenty of games being released this holiday season to keep me busy until it does come out...

like what other games?

...and splinter cell: conviction is a 360 exclusive. just clearing that up since it didnt mention that in the article.
Aw. Haze sounded so awesome. Oh well. I haven't purchased my PS3 yet so it doesn't really affect me too much...
We shouldn't be surprised when any game on any console or PC is delayed these days. Yes it's disheartening, but sadly it's a way of life that we'll all get use to in the end. I'm sure the games will be better because of the delay and we'll all be happy with the finished product.

I agree, as a software engineer, I know how large projects, much like a game, can easily get delayed, as original projections seldom understand all the work thats needed to be done.

yeah im kinda gettin used to release dates gettin pushed...first mp3 then ssbb then army of two and now this...it really shouldnt surprise me...
Especially like something on the PS3, when the devs never know if they're going to run into something they may not expect. I'm still wary of haze, as the only decent Ubisoft games I've played in the last 5 years are the batman games, and the splinter cell games.
which batman games would you be referring to that was so great?

anyhow, I still have high hopes for haze, and I think it puts a twist on what we're use to seeing.

I personally loved Batman: Vengeance for the GCN. (Most reviews would disagree with me). There was another one I liked too, but the name has slipped my mind, and I don't still own a copy of that one.

As for Haze. It has the potential to really be something great, It looks like it's a game that can go either way. It can be complete crap, and utterly suck, or it can turn out awesome. A great game in the marketplace is always a good thing, so here's to hoping it plays as good as it looks.

umm usually when a game is on the PC and only one console it still said to be exclusive for the console pc is an exception.
exclusive =
A) on only one console
or
B) on only one console and PC.
PC is the exception.

I agree, it's console exclusive the the 360. Additionally, I'm more excited about Splinter Cell: Conviction than Haze, because Haze is unknown, but SC:C is the follow up to an already successful series.
