in all the stores i've been in, i've seen the 360 advertised the most, in particular the Halo 3 special edition of it. i have yet to have a salesperson come up to me about the wii, but they've got that 360 box in the middle of the aisle in the Best Buy near campus, and every person that asked if i needed help told me about the special on it. Even in the game stores around here, the 360 boxes are everywhere, and i see and hear nothing about the wii OR ps3 from any workers. nobody' pushing the Wii, cause they know that the demand is higher than the supply, and they don't need to push it.
like you guys have said, you can probably attribute the higher sales from these weeks to the Black Friday mad rush.
they dont need to push the wii on people because they know as soon as they get a shipment in, they will all be gone in an hour, plus how do u push something that you dont have in stock? but it makes sense to advertise the 360 for the stores sake. a 360 is much more user friendly then a ps3. if a parent walks in i would bet there a lot more likely to buy a 360 for there kids on the fly then a ps3, and stores know that.
