and sorry jill, im registered as a democrat too :3 and i do think that i've been a minor contribution to his grayed age. although honestly, i dont think any of the candidates from the last election could have coped with things in a way that would appease everyone (let alone better than Bush has). what was done was what was believed to be the right course of action, and now that almost everyone sees that this was a mistake there's nothing we can do but keep going forward; there is no way back...

As an aside, it would be very awkward for me to be an American in modern-day Hiroshima. That isn't exactly something you can get over within a generation or two... I'm actually disgusted with the focus and scale of modern warfare. It spares us of the horror of looking into another human being's eyes as you tear their life away, instead dehumanizing them with the mere press of a button of pull of a trigger.

Nuclear weapons are practically redundant against the western superpowers. Any nuke launched will get destroyed before it leaves the airspace of it's country (or at least before it reaches its destination)

it's not uncommon. find pics of Clinton at the start and end of his term and it's close to the same. hair was more gray and put on a few pounds. presidents almost always let themselves slip in appearance during their 2nd term. they don't have to look nice for the cameras for the next election
