Hi. New to the site - obviously. I'm sure this has been covered before - but why, sometimes, when I'm attempting to throw a splitter, do I see an exclamation point and instead throw a slow fastball that gets creamed? Thanks.

You're not holding the right buttons down?

Fast splitters get creamed as well.

Hi. I'm pretty sure I'm holding both the A and B buttons down properly. Most of the time I throw the splitter fine - I just get the exclamation point once in awhile. The funny thing is that when I'm playing against the computer the computer pitcher sometimes gets the exclamation point over its head and throws a "slow fastball."

Maybe it's due to a poor throwing motion? Not sure.

you get the ! when you pitch with a combination of buttons that dont correlate to a specific pitch, or you arent holding them down long enough

double-check which combinations=each pitch and see if you are doing it correctly

I thought the ! just meant that the pitch just plain sucked and you better get read for an Out of the Park.

There was no mention of Wii Sports, and I'm not a fan of the baseball... I've never had that happen to me

I used to get this. There's only so hard that registers. So if you try to go too hard, it doesn't pick up, and a 60 MPH dud comes out instead. Go by this: Quick, not overkill.

Anybody who is talking about baseball in a forum about the Nintendo Wii is obviously talking about Wii Baseball.
